Well written.
Perhaps add information about the videos shown during the 2016 convention series. The one about "Kevin" the inactive one, and the one about parents shunning their daughter's phone call?
someone suggested i would address a letter not only to mr. angus stewart, but also to the royal commission as well.
it merges the two subjects on the same letter (inactive status and shunning; two witness rule), and adds some things more that what i said to mr. stewart.
it's a bit long, please bear with me.. --------------------------------------- .

once again, the arc has brilliantly highlighted the reality that any witness who either fades or disassociates is subjected to active official shunning by the organization.. the "brothers" tried to state that it was the choice of the indiviual who steps away from the organization to shun them!
they actually tried to make it out to be the fault of the one who leaves!
then they tried to say that those who fade are not shunned!.
If you have to lie to defend your beliefs, then they are not "the truth".....
besides the email message to mr. angus stewart that i have posted on the other thread, i have send him the following email regarding the two-witness rule and the claims it can't be changed because it's "bible-based":.
"dear mr. angus steward,.
i would like to draw your attention to another aspect of the arguments presented by the leadership of the jehovah's witness, in this case regarding the "two witness rule" and the duty to report to secular authorities.
Yes, well written.
The 2 witness rule is cherry picked by the society.
They try and say it applies for a serious crime like child abuse, while conveniently ignoring it if someone is suspected of APOSTASY! (A far greater crime it would seem)
Just the slightest whisper that someone no longer feels the society has "the truth", and that stuff will spread like wildfire, and be the subject of "marking / warning" talks in the hall!
So much for proof, or 2 witnesses!
so a few months ago, a friend sent me an actual copy of finished mystery which was published in 1917 (not a pdf download... the actual book).
i must say, this was the most disturbing book i have ever had the displeasure of reading.
but i only read it because this was the main publication that was being distributed worldwide when jesus supposedly chose the watchtower in 1918 and i basically wanted to see for myself what jesus saw in the wt that would compel him to choose this religious corporation over all other religious denominations.. anyway, if anyone is interested in knowing the actual contents of this book, here are some bullet points i put together from some of the notes i took as i read the book:.
Bumped for anyone who missed this....
so many things that i just discoved about the bible.. .
so from the book my book of bible stories, we all know how little moses was saved from a cruel pharaoh.
of course the king of egypt was afraid that those cute little babies would endanger his empire eventually.
Yes, and acts like incest were bad, unless your name is Lot, when it was ok to commit incest with your own daughters, and father children with them....
we have heard: “don’t share food with apostate.” what about sharing the air we all breathe in?
whether apostate or believer, both breathe in the same air (which is more important than food)!.
today i put this question to the couple who came to invite me for the memorial.
And the parable of the prodigal son had the father RUNNING to prepare an elaborate MEAL for his wayward son....

Didn't Jesus eat with "sinners" ?
Didnt he speak about the "Good Samaritan"...who was from an APOSTATE nation?
Hmmm....
does forcing people to shun other people violate free will?
Can someone post those paragraphs?
does forcing people to shun other people violate free will?
But the society has masterfully created a culture that makes it appear that the INDIVIDUAL is acting under their own choice...NOT because the society tells them to.
That is probably the MASTER STROKE of such a high control group.

.
just a bit of fun..
How about one with a picture of lush vegetables growing in the "paradise", but with a caption that reads: "this compost fertiliser made up of 8 billion bodies is great to grow my vegetables in! Thank youJehovah!"
