  -My 9 Part Podcast This JW Life & Something For Tomorrow-

  for those that don't know, i recently did a podcast series called this jw life outlining my life before, during, and after the cult.

  i made it with outsiders in mind so that anyone could understand what life as one of jehovah's witnesses is like and what it does to people.

  i posted about it as each episode came out, but i know that new people will see this and hope that it might help more people as time goes by, so i will post about it every so often to reach out to those that can find help processing their lives or that want to help outsiders to understand what it was like in one cohesive story.. tomorrow i will release episode 2 of my new podcast called “shunned”.

  Daily....

  I enjoy the interactions, and appreciate everyone's input.

  This wonderful community was a life line when I first awoke to TTATT! Especially before my wife also awoke. I found the ability to share thoughts and even to vent very cathartic.

  I am very appreciative of the support and help this community provided me!

  I hope too that I may have been able to assist others who went through similar life situations.

  I understand that we all grow, and that the nature and content of our posts change as we develop into "normal" people and become "ex-ex witnesses"

  Some of the ones who were very helpful in my early days have moved on and we don't see them here anymore... but I miss them and wish them well.

  Writing a book on Leaving Jehovah's Witnesses - suggestions welcome

  so i finally decided to start writing a book on exiting jehovah's witnesses.

  i've been meaning to do this for a very long time.

  there are so many books out there and i don't want to repeat what everyone else has written.. although the book will include some basic history of jehovah's witnesses and the usual doctrinal flaws, it's core audience are those who are thinking about leaving, in the process of leaving or have already left.. the book will contain case studies of people who've left and made a success of their life.

  "Circumcision is a sign to set you apart from the people of the nations"

  we know that the hebrew scriptures, or old testament states that the practice of circumcision (of males) was supposed to be yet another sign that set the jews apart from the "people of the nations".

  but apart from so many odd things, how dumb is this?.

  i mean, how did someone know if a male was circumcised or not??

  Vw.org: I was born with out eyelids. So when I got circumcised, the surgeon grafted the foreskin to my eyes to make eyelids. Now I have very good foresight.

  So does that mean that when it is cold, your eyelids shrink?

  Or if you are "happy", do your eyelids enlarge?😉

  the title was a joke but i going to tell a story that happend to me a a meeting.. there was a brother giving a talk now from my other post there are like 4 teens and 10 or more kids 5 to 8.now the brother just said now most of you kids will be getting asked have you lost your virginity.now all the teens are 13 like more or a year older you havent had sex but they dont care.. but the young kids most likey just asked there mom and dad when they got home ''mom dad whats my virginity''?.

  Yes, I can thank the Society and the Meetings for teaching me as a very young child about Biblically ACCEPTABLE things such as:

  Incest

  Child brides / Sex slavery

  Prostitution

  Genocide

  Slavery

  Baby murder

  etc....

  I'm starting a Counter-Watchtower magazine

  im starting a counter-watchtower magazine for everyone to give to their jw friends and family or just to give to those that come to your door.

  the first issue is about the history of pyramidology of c.t.

  russel and under the start of rutherford along with some other things like pointing out the fact that no one knows the translators of the nwt or writers of the watchtower, "the two very things relied on to teach you".. its writen in such a way to be very repectful but to make the reader think, and hopefully the light come on.

  "We don't venerate idols or images!"

  how often did we as witnesses say something like this : "unlike members of false religion, who venerate or worship through statues or idols, we give our focus to jehovah!".

  members of religious groups focus their religious adoration via an image or statue.

  they do this in order to provide some sort of focus to their need to worship.. witnesses give extreme focus on the name "jehovah" .

  here, her father recounts the events leading up to his daughter's taking of her own life - undoubtedly starting with her indoctrination from birth into this stifling, doomsday cult.. i see many similarities to myself as laura.

  Yes, that link is indeed so disturbing on so many levels....I'm left speechless to be honest. There should be an investigation into the events that led up to that poor woman feeling that there was no option other than overdosing.... why was she left so vulnerable that she felt that the only option was such a permanent step....

  Is the organisation responsible in some way? Are those elders bloodguilty?
