  What the F&^%???

  Oh wow!

  Notice there was NO DRUM kit?

  We all know how the society has often condemned drums as being too worldly...and inciting "improper" feelings with such deep rythmns and bass......So it is interesting to see that no percussion instruments were used...

  How about the two separate and unrelated cases of two married elders in the Australian Bethel who were both carrying on secret "affairs" with "sisters" outside of Bethel?

  How about a congregation that had at least 3 couples all break up within a few years due to "immorality". Elders and servants included. (Plus at least 3 more just leave because they woke up to the truth about the truth) And this is a cong with bethelite Elders in it too!

  One does wonder if the Holy Spirit was asleep?

  this thread is inspired by the great thread pale.emperor recently featured here on the forum about the things our overzealous parents banned while we were young.. seth andrews (a former fundamentalist christian broadcaster - now host of 'the thinkingathiest') just released this great talk!

  so many things he speaks of will sound familiar!

  we were not the only strange religion it seems..... enjoy!.

  Yes dubstepped! I'm a fan of Seth too, and listen to all his stuff! I look forward each week to his podcasts...

  The more I listen too, the more I see that many other fundamentalist churches are just as controlling as witnesses.

  hmm, it's taken the big gb a long while to approve the annual meeting to be uploaded to their beloved tv.jw.org site.

  well.... from what i've read, it looks like they'll probably have to cut out a lot of embarrassing bits.

  wonder how lett's "immorality ... i mean immortality" would look on an official society video?

  Good point!

  They will edit and rewrite the event until it is deemed to be acceptable....

  What they don't realise is that there are probably dozens of audio copies already out there thanks to people in attendance who secretly recorded it!

  we all know the gb like to impose rules upon the rules... but did anyone else out there have parents that implemented rules upon those rules?

  mine did.

  my mum tended to copy whatever the elders wives were doing and took it to the extreme.

  Pale Emperor: I used to like Home & Away. I genuinely believed that there were no ugly people in Australia.

  That's actually spot on PE! We are all supermodels here in Australia!
