  What JW habits do you still have?

  since leaving the jw's after over 4 decades, i can see exactly what it is and hate everything it stands for.

  however, there are still some jw habits and traits that i can't get rid of:.

  1. i can't swear in general conversation (i'd have to be really angry).

  A Question About Elders Knowing About Child Molesters

  supposedly the society sent a letter out on march 14, 1997 to all elders contained an instruction that inadvertently admitted they had a big problem: “the body of elders should give the society a report on anyone serving or who formerly served in a society-appointed position in your congregation who is known to have been guilty of child molestation in the past.” .

  can anyone here confirm/or not that this was a real letter that was sent to elders?.

  The glaring flaws in that whole process is appalling!

  How do they not see how wrong that guidance is??

  i was thinking that i’m not exactly pomo but more pomosi - physically out mentally out spiritually in.. anyone who is familiar with the life of raymond franz may understand what i mean.

  so i haven’t been to meetings in a while and i’m so over the whole mind control thing but i do love jehovah and believe in his purpose for us.

  the org doesn’t go about it properly imo so i have been doing my own reading and understanding.

  Can you disassociate on your last judicial committee for apostasy?

  hi guys, i have been summoned to a judicial committee for apostasy.

  i'm going to disassociate anyway but i don't want to miss the fun .i'm thinking of handing my letter of dissociation on the night of the committee.do you think this is a good idea?.

  Sure. Remember that YOU have the control over your own life.

  Let them know that you do not recognise their claims of authority.

  Tell them that "it is pretty clear already by my decision to stop attending the kingdom hall that I don't consider myself one of your number. But so that you do not misunderstand this, here is a letter confirming this. Take care"

  ...and walk out. NO conversations required.

  Fair point Simon. Perhaps "cyber-stalking" is the wrong expression. I'll accept that.

  I do think its odd that he just "liked" that one post. Nothing else.

  Maybe he is just saying "I know what you are up to!"

  It is indeed yet another example of "white washing" and "re-writing" of JW history!

  Makes me so angry to see how brazen the GB are in producing such material!

  Any organization that is so embarrassed about its past and seeks to cover it over, is not an honest one.

  I doubt he is PIMO Morph. It would be nice, but I doubt it.

  His wife was the bitch who started the gossip chain off about me several years back, and actively told jw friends who were following me on Instagram to block me. (Not that I care)

  Ah...this is funny!

  My Instagram is set to public . I have nothing to hide. I often post stirring posts that might be taken as digs against the religion. I also just post stuff about my life in general - not related to the religion. I have lots of fellow exjw followers, and I follow lots back. (Some from this very forum!)
  

  So about a month back, I posted a picture on my Instagram account showing myself, jwfacts, unstuck and wake me up before you joho when we got together to watch the new Apostasy movie.

  I've posted quite a bit since then.

  So on Sunday, I got a "like" on that post from one of the elders in the congregation we were in! We know him well, but he has never been a follower of me, nor do I follow him. So he has obviously been stalking my account, and along with other elders, must be seeing what I'm up to! I reckon he has ACCIDENTALLY pressed "like" while trying to magnify the pictures on that post! He has not "liked" anything else from me...just that ONE post.

  So I had some fun with it! Instead of ignoring it, I posted a comment back to him on the public post:

  "Hi @________. Interesting to see that you're following my account and "liked" this post. Hope you are keeping well😀"

  No reply from him.

  So what do you all think?!

  How many child molesters do you personally know of in the J.W's?

  were are they now and what position are they in.. lets do a running count.. c.o.b.e was interfering with his daughter,d.f,reinstated died in good standing.. branch oveersear multiple young children d.f,reinstated in good standing.. publisher interfeared with small child in the k.h d.f not sure were he is.. publisher sexually abused 3 relatives no action taken in good standing.. current elder raped his sister years ago little action taken was not an elder at the time.. publisher sexualy abused young girl d.f,reinstater now in good standing.. m.s multiple young girls d.f,died trying to get reinstated.. so thats 7.. karter..

  I heard the case of a very faithful sister who just this week approached her Circuit Overseer and said "I dont think that the Society's child protection policies are sufficient"

  His reply?

  "I Do" and walked away.

  So, it seems that the Society and it's representatives take this matter very seriously. (Sarcasm alert)
