  Serious Issue ....... that MUST be Addressed !!!!!

  this is such an important issue, more and more people are succumbing to what must be some viral outbreak wreaking havoc in the world.. i'm talking about unnecessary punctuation.. it's easy to become infected.

  you want to write something and add some emphasis so you add an exclamation mark to make it "important!

  " but dang, it's not important enough is it??

  I am guilty of using the ... to excess, and I appreciate the reminder that it looks lame.

  I do it to denote a pause in thinking... or a pause in thought.

  So, we are all aware of the appalling WT study article from a few weeks back called "Do You Have the Facts?"

  It annoyed me so much, that I sent an email to the Podcast "Thank God I'm Atheist" hosted by two former Mormons. Their episode #358 highlighted how the Mormon leadership (GB equivalent) gave a stern talk to all Mormons last week telling them to "never read, listen or watch anti-Mormon apostate stuff!"

  It was so amazing to hear that within a week of each other, both JWs and LDS/Mormons all received the same counsel!

  So, I sent the guys an email drawing their attention to the WT study article.

  They had fun briefly ripping it apart! :

  This was Sherrie enjoying a great personal chat with the honourable Justice Peter McClellan at the Australian Parliament House after the proceedings on Monday. His dignity is wonderful. The team that he worked with did an outstanding job of shining a spotlight on all the organisations - especially JWs. It did not escape their attention that the attitude displayed by the JWs was appalling. Fortunately the scope of the CARC allows for continual follow up as to how the institutions are doing. If failings still exist, the govt and its agencies will be holding the institutions to account!

  Brilliant thread!

  Yes, it was an amazing experience to see the wave of momentum in Canberra that day! It is simply amazing that "satan's wicked world" is making such great advances in tackling, owning up to and apologising for past errors in handling matters.

  Why is it that "Jehovah's organisation " can't do the same?

  Happily, the govt, and all agencies are WELL aware that the JW organisation is being deliberately non compliant and obstructive. It has NOT escaped the attention of those that matter - and action continues to mount against the WTSociety.

  As we like to say to any still in JWs, "Prosecution is not Persecution"

  I Got Very Stange JW Doorknocker Yesterday

  i had an ex-jw uncle of mine visiting me yesterday from another part of the country.

  i usually only ever see him at weddings and funerals but we keep in touch on facebook.

  we were catching up in my place with his wife when about an hour into the visit there's a knock on my door, this was about 4pm.. strange... the only people who ever knock without calling me first are the postman and my ex-wife.. i open the door and it's a face i recognize from my last congregation.
