Well said HowTheBibleWasCreated!
Well said indeed sir!
Perhaps we should all wear those sandwich boards and stand outside KHalls like the witnesses used to do to churches??
Sadly though, they would not see the irony!
i seriously doubt that any jw understanding of prophecy has ever withstood the test of time.
how can anyone trust them when they are always wrong?
?.

i'm sure that whatever stage we are at with our journey in leaving the corporation disguised as a religion, aka the watchtower bible & tract society, we have good days and bad days.
maybe young ones who have managed to escape mentally do not suffer quite as much, or suffer in different ways, but after 40 years of indoctrination, what i now like to call the "machinery of reinforcement" it is unavoidable that you don't have days where your head is messed with.
yesterday was just such a day for me.
Beautiful post Doubtfull1799!
Much love and support to you indeed.
This journey we are all on is not an easy one. It could be likened to being on the "narrow and cramped road to life"...(now why does that sound familiar?)
But, no matter how hard it is, it is worth all the effort we go through. After all, the value of truth and honesty and sincerity is priceless.
Stay strong!
watchman 2u.
letter one – jehovah witnesses are all accountable who swore an oath to jehovah god at baptism.
you jehovah witnesses in spiritual judea are clinging onto the temple that will not save you.

They have certainly fulfilled Duet 18:22
"If a prophet or spokesman of god speaks and yet his words do not come true, then know that he was NOT from God"...

They have fulfilled one verse that Jesus said:
"this people honours me with their lips, yet their heart is far removed from me"
And also this classic from Revelation:
"get out from the midst of her my people - quit touching the unclean thing....if you do not want to share in her plagues, for her sins have massed together clear up to heaven and God has called her acts of injustice to mind"
surely these men must see what's going on.
if they can afford fancy pinky rings, they must have smart phones.
if they have smart phones, they must be inquisitive as to how they are perceived.
Confirmation bias at play.
They all confirm to one another that they are indeed God's Channel on earth.....therefore they believe it wholeheartedly
some quick background information: my dad (her firstborn son) died unexpectedly this past october.
his death has really hit our family hard.
personally, i have not totally come to terms with this.
The religion that those over 65 are familiar with has completely changed.....
It bears very little similarity to the one of today....
The GB are deliberately trying to re-brand, and appeal to a new generation of witness youths..... However, they too will get old and die....
we all have loved one that we wish we could "wake up" from the society.. of course it is not wise to force them with information, as that could just cause their defences to go up and make them dig their heals in.. this reminded me of an illustration that the society actually used at a convention many years back:.
if we want someone to move out of their dilapidated, run down and dangerous house that they are sentimentally attached to, we cant just grab them and drag them out.
they will object.. but, if we build a brand-new, safe, secure attractive home right next door and allow them to see it be built, their curiosity will be sparked.
Nice comments!
i had a young couple stop by yesterday to drop off an invitation to the memorial.
i told them i was a bible student & had studied a number of religions.
i got into all the hot topics.
Well said ToesUp!

Next, we may find that they actually WANT to move into the new place! Then they may start speaking of the need to take a sledgehammer to the old place and destroy it themselves!
So by being kind, successful and happy in our new lives, those loved ones may see things for themselves...and they may be intrigued and ask questions.....
Remember, it is a long road, and it cant be rushed....
