i was surprised she messaged me.

i think it's because the cart witnesses i spoke to in my previous post in her kh must have mentioned that they met me.. i screen shot the messages but they've come out all wonky so please bare with me.. notice how she defends the cult even over the blatant wrong doings i refer to.. .

Wow...I understand how frustrating that must be!

As you know though, LOGIC and FACTs have NOTHING to do with Jehovah's Witnesses...

The society is making things more emotional, and just using the tactic of "loyalty = obeying everything the GB directs".

Stay strong, but maintain your dignity, poise and grace. By doing that, you will demonstrate more to your sister and show here that you are the balanced, reasonable and happy person. Don't allow her to make you get frustrated, or it will just play into the hands of the "bitter apostate" idea that the GB says we all are.

The KHall we used to attend had one!

I know because I often read from it during my awakening!

It was part of the boxes of older books that the then presiding overseer / co-ordinator ordered to be "thrown on the garbage tip" during one working day at the hall!
I protested that "it was part of our rich spiritual heritage" and should be kept!

He didnt relent. I now know it was because bethel had made such a direction.

I stashed some of the books under the hall and read them....

Maybe they are still there? But I don't have keys anymore....damn!

it has come to our attention that many in our ministry are encountering individuals who question the accuracy of the bible on scientific grounds.

for example, they may ask questions such as, how does a snake talk when it has no vocal chords or mouth and lip muscles?

Now of course NO ONE can ever question the accuracy of the bible facts!

Why? Because the bible itself tells us that it is true!

And as we all know, self referential praise is ALWAYS believable.....

Strange stalking from JW's...Please help

i just recently stopped attending.

i keep getting messages, emails, texts and voice mails asking if i'm ok. they all say the exact same thing.

it's creepy and a bit scary.

Yes, I have heard of that. We have had a small number text us things like "we miss you...are you ok? Can we encourage you? etc".

BUT, when we text back something nice like "thanks for your message, we are doing really well thanks. Hope you are going well too? If we can do anything to ever help you please let us know! Our door remains open at all times"

They never reply back! It is a case of taking away their control and power in the situation!

Remember that in the witness world, it is US that need ENCOURAGEMENT, and NOT the other way around. So they cant fathom the idea that our lives are going well!

RUMOUR - Regarding future memorials

i heard this on the youtube channel - bad jw round table discussions and i normally don't give much thought to rumours, i did find this one interesting.one of the guys on the channel said that there are plans that 'the other sheep' will be told not to attend any future memorials.he was asked how credible was this and he said that it is talk going around by those in the know, just like there had been those that knew about the fairly recent new edition of the bible being in production.even if this is probably just a rumour, the idea has a lot of merit.

the benefits for the organization outweigh the negatives and would fit in with their current direction.here are some of the benefits, for the org.

that could come from it- the biggest benefit would come from not having to accommodate so many attendants, which are more than double a normal meeting.

It presents them with the opportunity for hype and activity...there is no way I can ever see it changing.
