i was standing at a red light and i noticed the little cart standing there.
they're barely noticeable and when i continued there was apparently someone on the other side of the street too.
the only problem, the location is a very busy intersection which has virtually no foot traffic and they're hard to see to begin with, as you can see from my vantage point i couldn't even read the cart and three people next to them on this side and two of them on the other side.. .
It has nothing to do with spreading the message.
It is all about keeping witnesses busy and "counting time".
(On the point of keeping witnesses busy, it is just like the "game" we play with kids to try and keep them happy and quiet on a car trip. "Lets see who can stay quiet the longest, and they will be the winner of a prize!". Some kids fall for that...)
Oh, also it creates a status amongst witnesses as to who "qualifies" to do the cart work.

when you confront jw's about what they believe they will often deny it.
such as "if your child is disfellowshipped then you can't have contact with them ever again".
If they are following the guidance of the ALMIGHTY Jehovah, they should be PROUD of their policies (no matter how odd) and shout them from the rooftops!
If they try and white-wash them, that says something!
so last night i got an emotional call from a friend, the same friend that recently said "we sound like a cult.
" in last night's conversation she said she was tired of the truth.

one of the reasons people remain pimo is fear of losing family.
those that are disfellowshipped and shunned regularly comment about how devastated that they have lost the approval of their parents.. when i respond to emails from people saying how difficult it is being estranged or looked down on by their parents, i would like to say that over time they will come to terms with it, except i not sure that people ever do.
i cannot shake that feeling either.
There is another way to look this issue .
The family that do the shunning are actually missing out on all that we can provide them and all that we can contribute to enhance their lives. ie, it is actually THEIR loss. They miss out on us, and all we are.
Rather than allowing ourselves to be the 'victims', we should see those family as the victims. Yes, victims of the GB control.
Dont stop calling or seeing those family members. Keep calling, and keep showing up and acting normal. If we stop contacting them, we play by the rules of the society, and give power to their corrupt policies.
i remember a brother making the above statement in regards to an elderly sister who had passed.
he stated we don't mourn or even visit grave sites because we have a hope that jah will resurrect the dead.
it seemed really creepy at the time, hell, even jesus wept when lazarus died.
I realised at the age of 39 that I had never actually grieved or felt genuine sadness at the loss of anyone.
Yes, because of witness culture and "protocol", I never cried or allowed myself to mourn a loss.
That changed when I awoke to the truth about the truth, and the reality that this is our life NOW (not some utopian panda patting paradise)
My uncle's funeral was the first time I was at a funeral that didn't follow the usual prescribed witness script. It was truely a cathartic experience. Sad, yes, but cathartic and therapeutic

But here we are talking about God supposedly violently killing every person who doesn't abide by his "earthly organisation" and become a witness.
That includes young children and babies....who are hardly violent or dangerous sinners or criminals.
