  in the july broadcast of jw broadcasting tony morris one of the gb was telling people about what the jws do in iceland with the cart work and mentioned that they have plastic covers for the books and magazines so that they last longer, ialways thought the end of the world was so close ?.

  Yes, it really is a sad reflection on Jehovah and Jesus, if their choice of co rulers is these turkeys!

  Perhaps J and J are just having a laugh seeing how many witnesses will blindly follow the rantings of these crazy fools?

  Is there any humor in the bible?

  humor plays a big part in a lot of humanity and we all like a good laugh but as far as i'm aware god's supposed word has no actual humor ,of course apart from being a joke itself ,why wasn't there a passage or something like "jesus farted and giggles broke out among them " or something, is anyone aware of any notations of humor ?

  i'm sure i am not the only one to have heard this come out of the mouths of my loved ones.

  it's a very painful thing to hear, especially when it comes from the people like your own parents/family.

  even after i've been told that, they would say "we'll just continue life without you.

  Two thoughts come to mind.

  1) They are using the fear of being killed at the big A just as Christendom does with the Hellfire doctrine

  2) Just politely remind them that the one thing EVERY HUMAN who has ever lived has in common is: They all die. Why would the present JWs be any different?

  he occasionally attends an assembly and the memorial but no longer attends meetings or goes on field service.

  Huge article(s) in Dutch media on JW child abuse

  so today the well-respected and serious newspaper trouw.nl came with child abuse within the jw as their topmost frontpage article.. the articles are well researched and aim primarily at the dutch jw situation.. afaik at least on member of this forum assisted the newspaper with the articles.

  A Dutch friend of mine summed up the article like this:

  Well pretty much what it comes down to, that the JW organization is the pinacle for Child Abuse. That elders are playing their own judge. Now the Dutch government started a big time investigation and want to bring these pedophiles to justice.
