Whenever I read a WT quote...

Man DOWN!!! Updated a Wordpress Plugin and ThisJWLife crashed.

i was just updating the libsyn plugin, as libsyn hosts my podcasts, and suddenly there were "internal server errors" and i got the following message:.
fatal error: can't use method return value in write context in /home4/umc/thisjwlife.com/wp-content/plugins/libsyn-podcasting/admin/lib/libsyn/api.php on line 154. can anyone here help?

A review of the WT study, "Do not let your love grow cold."
by doubtfull1799 ina while ago someone (i forget who) was doing a series, a regular analysis, of wt studies from the current week.
i have't seen any for a while so i thought i'd contribute one.
have a bit of fun picking out all the unsubstantiated assertions and logical fallacies etc... so here goes: (if you enjoy it let me know and i might try doing another.

Yes, even the video shown on the Friday of the convention had the sister give up an afternoon of painting (her hobby evidently ) because she had to go out on a bible study!
That not so subtle direction from the GB was that even scheduled personal time should be readily given up in favour of "theocratic" activities...

As PE says, witnesses have an answer to justify or explain it no matter what the situation is.
The sad reality is, it doesn't matter what the GB or Society does, it will ALWAYS be "justifiable" in the average witnesses eyes.... so much for HONESTY and INTEGRITY and TRUTH!

by The Fall Guy inin the june 2004 kingdom ministry, the self-appointed "faithful slave" published this spiritual exhortation as a q&a item - "the congregation book study—why we need it.
three years later, in 2007 - in the august kingdom ministry - the same "slave" issued this reminder - "how the congregation book study arrangement helps us.
but surprise, surprise - within a few short months the "slave" decided that jehovah had had a change of heart, and now decided that the book study in homes - with all of its alleged benefits - was superfluous: .

Ran into my brother at a concert; first time I've seen him in years......

there was a friend of ours there doing security, and she happens to be an exjw too.
she sent me a message on messenger to inform me that my brother and his wife were at the show, not knowing that i'd be there too.

We all feel sorry for those who choose to give over their natural human affection to the dictates of a bunch of men who they don't even know in person! (didn't the bible say that the last days would be marked by those with "no natural affection"??)
Yes, they will shun their own family because some guys they don't even know tell them to...
