we were taught sickness and death is a result of the sin inherited from adam and eve, so why do animals get cancer?
they are supposedly still as big j intended, so therefore cancer is a creation by the big fella himself?.
just an exercise for one's who believe in the whole bible story thing.. (not me)... any others anomalies you can think of ?

Isnt it amazing: The animal kingdom is quite comfortable with their sexuality, so why are repressed humans having such a hard time coming to terms with this? Could "religion" have something to do with it? hmmm?
it struck me today how the lyrics to kingdom song 81 "the life of a pioneer" sound almost like a slave song from a plantation or something.
what's also sad is, if you read, you'll notice that they sound not only like slaves, but slaves that are admittedly tired and worn out yet grateful to serve their governing body overseers master to prove their devotion to him.. very sad indeed..

its been awhile since i've commented but i come by and read your posts about once a week.
so why do i need a pep talk ?
after almost 2 years into my fade these bastards won't give it a rest constant hang ups on my answering machine and today for the first time in about 6 months they come to my apartment complex but thankfully couldn't get in they did keep buzzing me so they were here looking for me.
Keep your Dignity, Poise and Grace.
What I mean is, IF they actually confront you, be so very mild and calm.
Remember "LESS is MORE". By this I mean, that the LESS you say, the MORE effective you will be.
State this line calmly "Please respect appropriate boundaries. Have a nice day" - and walk away.
Say no more. If they try and push for more, just repeat that same mild line again.
Also, remember the wise advice many have shared on this forum "The best revenge is to live a happy and successful life"
And "the only power they have over you is that which you allow"

i hate the rule about if your mate cheats on you, and you have sex with them, you are not free to remarry because the sex means you forgave them and keeps you stuck with them!
i personally disagree and think it’s so controlling that they think they can dictate what goes on behind closed doors between two consenting, legally married married people.
and that they think they have the right to label what other people’s sex means.
Ah yes...and it takes three men to tell the "aggrieved party" whether they can be free or not....
i am thinking that this could be an interesting topic.
most of us never had a chance to go to college, many of us were involved in various service industries like cleaning and such, and we have had some limitations placed on us.
so i thought it might be interested to see what has worked for people, what hasn't, what the progression has been, where people went wrong and where they got it right.

Yes, the missed opportunities is a big issue for many of us. What COULD we have been if higher education wasn't condemned?? What if....
I had a similar path as you. Because of "putting the kingdom and theocratic things first", I didn't go past high school.
I would have LOVED to go into marketing or advertising!
I would have LOVED to have become an architect - designing houses and buildings!
Instead, I cleaned windows, did basic sales jobs etc.
OK, so I have done ok out of it to be honest. I have had the gift of being able to speak with people, and provide good customer service. I started a business 15 years back that has done well enough for us to live adequately. So I am not bemoaning my lot in life. BUT - rather than being in control and pursuing a career that I REALLY wanted, I had to settle for one that "pays the bills"

So do not be drawn into the stupid games the Elders try and play. If you and your boyfriend are comfortable with your relationship, then there is no need to allow anyone else to pry into it!
Be happy, confident and keep your dignity.
And as others have said, don't try and wake him up by dumping huge facts on him. Just slowly ask questions about things and let him be the "spiritual man" and research things...then slowly show him the things you have found....
But I will also say one thing : Are you prepared to envision your life without him IF he doesn't wake up? You have your whole life ahead of you - don't get tied into the organization and have to live a lie....it will kill you.
