Oh damn, it did not upload...oops! Sorry.
I don't know what I've done wrong.
Anyway, it was a quote with a picture of a person blocking their ears:
"Truth sounds like hate to those who hate the truth"

i was having a great chat with a valued friend and fellow forum member today on the phone.. we were discussing how deeply we all get affected by jw interactions - even years after fading or disassociating.. you know what i mean.
those days when we run into jws who we considered to be our close friends.
or "loving shepherds" who don't act kindly.

We were discussing how deeply we all get affected by JW interactions - even years after fading or disassociating.
You know what I mean. Those days when we run into jws who we considered to be our close friends. Or "loving shepherds" who don't act kindly. Or family members who shun us because of the stand we have taken for truth and honesty.
Those who were never jws don't understand the level of impact it can have. They say things like "it's just a religion", or "my religion is not like that"
We came up with a way to describe it.
Being a Jehovah's Witness is part of our very DNA. It was like our arm or leg - integral to who we were as a very person! Not something that could easily be removed from us!
Yet we can be proud that no matter how much the cult was part of our very DNA, we have seen that standing up for truth and honesty is far FAR more important, and takes far more strength!
So if you're ever feeling overwhelmed by it all, know that you're not alone!
Bravo for being genuinely Truthful!
hello to all the active jehovah's witnesses lurking on here, or those having doubts.
seriously, i welcome you.. i was explaining to one of my friends recently about how the watchtower society uses it's members to make them money every day without them even realizing it.
unbelievable?
Great post Mark!
so this morning i'm walking to my office and there's the jws on their carts outside as usual.
and old sister, a brother in his 20s and an elder i instantly recognized from my jw days.
one of my best friends of about 20 years.. i genuinely just wanted to say hi as i havent seen him in 3 years.
Hey mate! Wow. So sorry to hear.
Your experience is SO similar to what I have had occur - eerily similar!
Please know that there are far more friends WITH you, than against you! 😀❤️
a user over on the jwtalk forum recently shared a warning over his research on evolution in preparation for an assigned talk.
after detailing a couple of the tidbits that he learned of during his research, he went on to say:.
this i found to be useful especially when talking ot others in the ministry.. but and it is a big but.....
When their deep faith in a biblical creator is challenged, they would rather just ignore the truths and facts and stick with the comforting lies....

businessman felt harassed by jws, so he found that word marks "der wachtturm" and "erwachet!

Hi All!
That is so cool of you Vanderhoven7 to start this thread out of concern!
And Freedom Rocks, so good of you too!
We are good friends of WakeMe and catch up regularly. We can reassure everyone she and her son are doing well. I guess she is just going through a patch of "ex-jw burnout" if you know what I mean?
Sometimes, it all becomes too much, and we need a break to just try and focus on building a real life outside of the damaging witness quagmire.
I know though that she will be back here soon to share her excellent insights and great writing style sometime. In the meantime, I will pass on your kind thoughts!
terry's editorial on the pledge of allegiance_____.
can one child in a thousand actually define the word or give the meaning of "allegiance?
" can you--without stumbling around about it?give me a moment of your time, will you?first, in medieval times, wealthy landowners allowed peasants to cultivate their property as long as these pitiful souls made a pledge of fealty or allegiance to become a soldier for that lord of the manor if he needed to go to war against some imagined enemy.
Children being required to recite the pledge on a daily basis in schools is ridiculous!
My wife doesn't require me to recite my marriage vows each day. We did that once, and the value of those vows stands.
Why the need for constant recital of a vow if one is confident in it?
