every witness says they are “ in the truth”.
that expression implies that what they say is the “truth “.
how could you help a witness understand that they clearly do not have “the truth “?.
I like to casually show that many other faiths call themselves "the truth", or use very similar wording...
i am actually looking into the possibility of starting my own nonprofit for ex-jws with specific goals and i've learned more about the process.
i was interviewing someone for the podcast that is familiar with nonprofits and she told me something that i had never considered.
maybe everyone else has but i don't remember seeing anything about it here.
We have done some research here in Australia re the "charity status" that the local congregation has.
It is perplexing that they qualify as a registered charity, and therefore pay no tax. Yet, they also posted a $0 dollar income and $0 expenses to the govt.
In other words, they were not transparent about the true financials.
what questions do the elders ask you when you are in your meeting requesting to get reinstated ?.
Much depends on the elders there, and whether or not they like the person or not.
If they have their own reservations about the one who wants to be reinstated, then they will make them jump through a multitude of hoops to prevent them coming back in easily.
my wife and i just enjoyed a family reunion with both my sons ,one wife and one grandchild 10 years old ,where they stayed at our house for a week .. the best week we have had for many a year .
the couple live only 2 hours away by car and the other son and his child live 2 states away 2 hours by plane.. and thankfully they are no longer associated with the borg that i now regretfully brought them up in , so the borg will never get their children.. it was a happyfying time .
So good to read about Smiddy!
Or as Aussies say "Goodonyamate"!
this is the announcement we have heard “about” but now it has been released to the whole world.

He seemed very uncomfortable during that talk...did anyone else notice that?
would i err in stating most religions and denominations have set doctrines?and yet, the watchtower's version/rendition of christianity is riven with contradictions which stem from changing predictions, policies, doctrines, and interpretations seemingly adrift from foundation or principle.wouldn't you think the constant upheaval, sifting, churn, and reorganization bespeaks whim, mood, uncertainty, and wilful speculation more than divine guidance?there's something endemically jittery and insecure about this religion which i would opine has more than a little to do with unstable mental affect than mere whimsy.what's your take on this?.
Yes, this is clearly evidence of a man-led religion (well- they all are really, right?)
If the bible is to be taken as God's word, it clearly states that "God is the same yesterday, and tomorrow", and that he "never changes"
So....that contradicts these modern religions.
