Also why are we restricted to only 10 postings per day? I am not used to such restrictions.

I have only just joined but thinking of giving up already.
It does not seem very easy to use this forum really. My topic does not seem visible. I don't know how to do my profile or anything.
Finding it difficult.

A Saturday Knock on the Door & the JWN Forum
by kepler inthis is, of course, a recurrent topic that's made possible whenever a kingdom hall decides to march out on your neighborhood and street.. today it happened again in my neighborhood as a drum up for the memorial observance scheduled for monday the 14th of april.. why christ's passion and death should be observed on a monday of holy week i failed to ask this morning.
perhaps someone else might like to volunteer, but it seemed just another reason to be sceptical about the whole thing, though hardly ranking with changing ancient chronologies to get jerusalem's temple destruction 2520 years before 1914.. anyway two gentlemen in white shirts and ties greeted me politely enough at my door and presented me with a flyer about an event which they described as momentous.
they asked me if i had ever intended one and i assented.

Hi,
speaking as a non Jehovah's Witness I have to say I find all JW's (if I may abbreviate), very pleasant charming people. I like having conversations with them. They stimulate thought and debate. I love how smartly dressed and they are, compared to so many people these days who appear to have lost their way completely. They seem so sure in themselves, serene and at peace. I actually envy their certainty in everlasting life. I have never been formally religious at all but I am a great reader, I have many questions and I keep an open mind. I absolutely do not agree with people who are rude to them, they are after all only spreading the word of their religion and their love of God, just as Jesus did.
I am not naive, I just believe we should all look within ourselves and listen and learn from others even if we don't join their beliefs.

Jehovah is evil
by cookiemaster ingoing to the meetings and hearing them say how loving is our god disgusts me.
jehovah is actually a mass murdered.
there's an interesting website called evilbible.com, were all god's murders are listed.

Hi,
I am new here and just trying to work out how to use this forum.
My personal belief is that God is certainly not evil, he is the source of pure love. He gave humankind the ability to know wrong from right. So it is up to us how we behave whilst on this earth. It is mans inhumanity to man that is evil.
I cannot live without my belief in God. To my mind it is the bleakest thing of all to be atheist. Surely then a person is truly alone.
Too many times my prayers have been answered. I often feel I only need ask and I get the help I need.
I just think being cynical and world weary is not the answer to anything. I prefer to keep an open heart and talk to God. What else is there otherwise. We are all going to die, it is up to each of us to develop ourselves spiritually with all the opportunities we have here while we have the precious gift of life.

Hi everyone,
I am not a Jehovah's Witness but I am very interested, I have many questions and hope they can be answered here.
I do believe in God, privately. I do say my prayers daily and do believe God helps me in countless ways. But I don't go to any church.
I have always been impressed at how smart, polite and nice Jehovah's Witnesses are and I always make time to speak to them when they call at my door. We have had many a good discussion and I like the way everything is referenced back to the Bible. To be honest, I envy the serenity and certainty of JWs, yet I have never taken the step of being formally religious at all in my life. However I have a very open mind and lots of things I want to ask about.
I hope it is ok for me to be on here and to get to know people.
