  Wrapping Gifts

  first of all, i want to wish merry christmas to all those i haven't wished yet.

  that means all of you!

  I'm with you...I can't wrap at all. I always end up w/ too much paper on the sides, and have to do some creative folding to be able to even tape them down. If I try and CUT the sides, it ends up looking like $% because I always end up cutting TOO much off. Oh well, I kind-of am going w/ the idea that unless someone is an uptight jerk, they really don't care what the wrapping looks like, anyhow. It always gets ripped off in 2.4 seconds, regardless of how nice it may or may not look.

  i am chomping at the bit to go to see rotk!!

  you won't be giving anything away, because i believe i have read the series upwards of 20 or more times over the years, but how was it?

  I don't care what you all say....i'm ALL about Aragorn. Legolas is pretty, but Aragorn is just.....sexy.

  Anyhow, saw it last night. SO GOOD!! Better than the First 2, and that is saying a LOT.

  They did an awesome job. I didn't want it to end, either. I wish they'd shown a little more at the end. (i.e. Eowyn and Faramir).

  wanna see it wanna see it wanna see it!!

  It's already 7:30 pm here, but hoping to go to a 9 or 10 o'clock show. Yeah, I won't get out til about 2, and I have to work tomorrow at 8(ish)...(translation, a little after 9)....but, I think it would be worth it. I LOVE these movies! I love the books, but the movies came out SO well....and Aragorn....sigh....Aragorn. I'm with you Czar! I don't blame you for wanting to switch teams. He is.....words cannot even express. Haha.

  Can't wait to see how the Eowyn bit tranfers to screen, and the witch King.......And Shelob, but MAN i hate spiders.....

  a number of witnesses in my cong absolutely refuse to watch harry potter.

  My dad is a SUPER, UBER elder. Anyhow, I was visiting them last summer, and in walks my 13 year old neice, and tells my parents that they bought "The Fellowship of the Rings", and did they want to watch it later that night. Both my parents were very excited about watching it, my dad especially so. I asked, rather shocked, "Do you LIKE that movie? I didn't think it would be okay to watch it." (with that said, I own the first 2 movies, and will go see the last one tonight, hopefully). Anyhow, my super, uber father said "oh, yeah. Great movie. We went and saw it in the theater."

  I guess it all depends.

  Well, mine is a cropped version of a picture called "The Accolade" by Edmund Leighton. I've always loved the painting, and it's a redhead, and I'M a redhead, so I thought it worked.

  The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)

  we just bought tickets online last night to go see it.... the first showing is at midnight tuesday night.. woo hoo!

  SOOO am going to see this. Midnight showing tues night, hopefully. If not, then for sure after work on Wednesday. I flippen LOVE these movies.

  And yes, Aragorn is HOT HOT HOT....

  Plus, I love Eowyn's role. That would be SO much fun to play...especially in this coming movie. (yes, i've read the books)

  I have a job that involves sitting in front of a computer for 8, and sometimes up to 16 hours a day.....so, I think I can fit in time to post one or two messages.

  Don't assume that just because people post in the 8-5 time period that they are welfare babies. I think most of us are pretty successfull. Now that we're not witnesses, we're allowed to be.

  Fawlty Towers- Hysterical, love John Cleese.
  Mr. Bean- Not big on Rowen in this one......
  Black Adder- Because I like him in these.
  Monty Pythons Flying Circus- I've watched this since i was 5
  Benny Hill- My parents wouldn't let me watch this.
  Keeping Up Appearances- My mom liked it. I thought it was mildly amusing at times.
  the telletubbies- As far as I'm concerned, this is a rip off of Monty Python..... "run away!"....rabbits everywhere, magic hats....
  Are You Being Served?- Scary 70's fashion. But, again, Mildly amusing.
  So Graham Norton- He is friggen hysterical.
  Eastenders- REALLY....bad....soap opera.

  I read an article in some random news magazine, and it was while i was in a hospital lobby, so bear w/ me if I don't remember all the details...

  Anyhow, this has happened before....somewhere in Africa...There was an explosion, they think, under the lake that all these tribes of people lived around, and it released poisonous gases that killed almost everybody that had a hut around the lake. Only a few people survived.

  So....I think i'll be avoiding that trip to Yellowstone....

  my son and i were chatting on msn earlier today (errrr yesterday) and fortunately we were also talking on the phone because he was making no sense.

  he kept typing "fart" and "burp" (he's only 7) and he was giggling like mad.

  my son is a typical boy....lol!

  My daughter is 3 going on 4, and when she had just turned three, we were driving in the car, and she looked at us really solemnly and said "The black cow is burning at taco bell.....say yes."

  I still think that's the funniest thing. I expected her to be wearing a black beret, and play the bongo's while saying that...
