  Re-instatement - How long ex - elders?

  i am a white male and was d'fed in late 2000. i started attending the sunday talk and wt for the last two years.

  my old congregation was merged into a new congregation following the years that i was gone (downsizing yes) with now all the elders are another race than myself.

  i wrote a re-instatement letter in mid dec...which the elders never answered till mid jan... for a committee hearing.

  I am a white male and was D'Fed in late 2000. I started attending the Sunday talk and WT for the last two years. My old congregation was merged into a new congregation following the years that I was gone (downsizing yes) with now all the elders are another race than myself. I wrote a re-instatement letter in mid Dec...which the elders never answered till mid Jan... For a committee hearing. There one elder asks if I could attend more meetings which I had to re-adjust my schedule. Another elder made a false acquisition that I was running around with pimps which was a lie and he started to shout a lot of nonsenscence at the meeting ( How could you give up everlasting life/ what were you thinking / how was the experience/ on-and on ) I sat there like Job against the three contenders quite and to myself. I do not know if he expected me to get all riled up and start shouting back at him or not. So I am in the process of spending time and money on another letter for re-instatement. How many letters, meetings, and time does it take to get re-instated? I was only D'Fed once. Also would race play a factor or position in the community for a favorable hearing? I mean 5 yrs ? Do they want me back or no go somewhere else? Any answers would be greatly appreciated

  did anybody attend the dc and hear the talk about being beware of "false stories"?

  could you enlighten us about the talk and what warnings we are to heed?.

  There was one sister who was experiencing problems in her new marrage and co-workers was advising her to get a seperation or a divorce. That was the false story. Then she listen to an advice from a faithful sister to apply Bible principles and stick with your partner. I think another was a person considering a job that would miss meetings for extra material comforts. Etc..etc

  Invatation Snubs - Anybody?

  my mother who has been a jw for over 50 yrs, was sent an invatation to an elder's son high school graduation party.

  however it was addressed to just her alone not including her husband who is not a witness but a nice guy just no jw.

  the elder's son has yet to speak to my mother at the meetings even a hello or a casual conversation.

  My mother who has been a JW for over 50 yrs, was sent an invatation to an elder's son high school graduation party. However it was addressed to just her alone not including her husband who is not a witness but a nice guy just no JW. The elder's son has yet to speak to my mother at the meetings even a hello or a casual conversation. She thinks this is just request for a $$$ gift for his kid graduation from high school. It is funny because in my day ( 1975) you was not suppose to have a graduation party because this was honoring the creature not the creator. Anyway my mother was taking to another JW sister and her husband who is not a JW was invited. This person has known about the JW's for over 30 yrs and as I known him since I was a witness in 1975. The above elder has discussions with this guy but he has yet to attend a JW meeting. By the way the above elder made it clear that I was to be d'fd when he was on my JC meeting. Is this a snub or politics ? Why would he invite one person not a JW to his kids HS grad party and not my dad. Both are not JW's but their wife's are. Is there something from the society as to who to invite and who not to invite to socal functions?

  We want workers not....

  i was at the meeting the other day and the po made a coment saying " we want workers not seat sitters" we'll what did he mean by that.

  is this another expression of do more more more and if the person next to you is not not then drop him or her ?

  i created an iso file of the wt library 2004 cd.. i'd like to distribute copies to people that want it, but it is too large for me to send via e-mail.. please reply here if you can help me with distribution.

  if you know a jw member in good standing that openly proclaims his views to cheat on taxes and not pay his fair share but takes a hard stance on reporting individuals because his conscience would bother him if he hears of immorality.

  be a whistle blower?.

  a) call the the irs to review his records?.

  If you know a JW member in good standing that openly proclaims his views to cheat on taxes and not pay his fair share but takes a hard stance on reporting individuals because his conscience would bother him if he hears of immorality. What would you do?

  Be a whistle blower?

  A) Call the the IRS to review his records?

  B) Call the elders in his area?

  C) Leave it go as the JW's say "Jehovah will take care of the matter"

  I am d'f so no one will listen to me

  PS ...I do not want a lawsuit or a brick thrown at my car from a good JW if they find out it came from me....any advice is greatly appreciated.
