so, i got home from my tryst and sure enough, everyone knew all the details.
so a judicial comittee was set up.
i was accused of coercing a happily married woman to drive 8 hours to spend 4 days with me in various hotel rooms all at her husband's expense.
Thanks for sharing the rest of your story, that took a lot of guts. I think your healing is beginning with writing out your trauma.
I find it very sad indeed when a person with a "good heart" has so much emotional grief, makes a few mistakes and then gets the "boot" when they really need to be shown "love and attention". The elders quizzing you as to " what do you want to do?" ...Heck, they didn't catch on to the fact of the "whole facts"....At a time when you need to be shown true Christian Love, they were NOT there for you.
It has been my experience that when I have suffered emotional turmoil, I have found that the elders are NOT trained for those issues...they are literally helpless (the only thing they are trained in, is scriptural therapy). There are a few good elders out there, that have experienced life, and some things that we experience. These elders truly know how to shepherd the flock, because they have "walked in our shoes"...
Take care Zero...you will find the comfort and support that you need to "heal" here.

my friend, smoldering wick, informed me of this board and this is my first time here.
so, thank you for having me and also, please bear with me as i am sure i can be pretty long winded about things.
now that that is out of the way i would like to take some time to get down in writing some things that have been on my mind for the past year and some change.
Welcome to the board Zero! You have quite a story...my heart was tugging at me as I read it.
I lost my mother to cancer when I was 14, my Dad became an alcoholic....but at least my Dad was still there (but an alcoholic after my Mom died). Our meetings at the KH was our only stronghold to get us thru 2 terrible things in our teen years.
Hope you enjoy this board, there are a lot of kind people here.

hello this is my first topic on this forum.. i left the jws 18 months ago and am still recovering.
it was after reading crisis of conscience that i was brave enough to leave although i had serious doubts before i was always scared in case it was right!!
and i was wrong.. however when they changed the generation in 1995 that caused me great trauma as i had accepted that as absolute fact and based my life on it.
Welcome!
When 1995 brought about the new change...I must admit it didn't affect me one bit. You see, I had my "rose colored glasses" on.
It was May of 2002, the Dateline Special exposing the pedophile issues among JW's that started my doubts.
