Min: How long has it been since you have attended a meeting?

today, an elder stopped by my work just to say hello and invite me to the memorial!
he asked me if the presiding overseer had called me yet because he and another elder were going to give me a call at home to set up a visit.
he said they (the elders) decided this on their elder's meeting last night.......so what do you think is going to happen when i tell them i'm not going to allow them to make a "shepherding" call???

damn.
damn me to hell.
i just now, not ten minutes ago, had a totally cool conversation with this sweet italian girl at starbucks.
Ok...I think you have to women are people too....It may be just as hard for her as it is for you to "just have met"...that's where I say Social Skills 101 comes in handy:
1. We (women) liked to be asked questions...as long as they are not too personal...questions show interest.
2. Sharing a funny joke..always lightens up a conversation.
3. Sharing a bit of your past (that you want to share ie: school, family life (brothers and sisters), college experiences, work experiences, hobbies, passions...WE want to know about YOU.)
4. Do you have a sister??? quiz her ....or a woman that is a confidant of yours...she will help you out a bunch!!!
5. Pauses, are great in conversation...shows confidence on both parties.
Don't be afraid to socialize...it's a 2 way street... I am married and I love to got to a coffee shop and shoot the breeze and meet new people....I want their experiences in life...that's what makes life so darn interesting!!!

one of the down sides of the web is not knowing the various posters status; married, involved, looking, and lost...suspect a lot of those here!
my status is complicated...mostly by me!
i have a couple of admirers that would like to lock me down but i keep dancing around the whole issue.
I am married to Mr. CB, and he is a wonderful husband!!!

a night out with her
+4 you take her to a movie she likes
Maverick: I say you deserve a few thousands points!!!
I agree with Sassy, the point system is a 2 way street. Doing kind things for the one we love and going the extra mile is what a good, healthy, loving relationship is all about.

The Point System...lol
A yeah ago, Mr. CB's daughter got married. At her reception, a friend of their's got up to give a speech to the newly married couple. He instantly started talking about the : Point System.
I started laughing and looked at Mr. CB....because after we got married and he would do or say something irritating or thoughtless, I would say: that is gonna cost you 10 points...or however man points I felt it deserved at the time...Of course, we both got a laugh outta it...
Now we are both sitting at his daughter's reception and that was the first time I had ever heard it was official: The Point System...lol... I laughed a long time after that.
Seeing your post Sassy...sure reminded me of that!!!
