  (((Bisous))), wow, that was truly kind what that woman did for you....I am sure it was her way of helping her to heal by helping you as well.

  I have been trying to sort out the kindest thing but for some reason I can't put one thing as the kindest. I have received many acts of kindnesses that have touched my heart.

  Going thru my divorce 7 years ago, was one of the most painful events in my life.

  I did have a couple older married JW's that showed me attention, which I really appreciated.

  However, I had to work full time. That's when I found out, like Franklin, that "worldly people" are always your friends. They saw me become anorexic and hardly smiled. A couple of the ladies there brought me a gift, they told me they wanted to see me "smile". I will never forget that day. Their kindness was totally unexpected!

  Also at work, during my divorce, one of the customers gave me a Christmas Card, which to this day I still have. It is addressed: "To a Special Lady"....(I wanted to cry as he handed me the card) I didn't really know this person. He came into my place of employment and we chatted for a few minutes. A complete stranger made me feel very valued!

  Yes, I had one in the late 80's.........my husband brought the dog home for a gift.....She was 2 years old, and the previous owner was allergic to her.

  She was "adorable"......."sweet"........one of the best dogs I ever had...................temperament wise....and NO shedding.

  Her hair was much like human hair, very silky. But you had to brush and comb her DAILY...or her hair would matt....Shih tzu's are very high maintenance dogs in this department. Make sure you have time for constant grooming...

  My Brother's Funeral (Part One)

  Wow, I know that took a lot to write. As far as you commented it took you this long to write is for a reason: Painful memories are hard to deal with.

  But with each word, I felt as if I were there with you. I am so sorry that you had to go thru what you did.

  You see, I have seen death at an early age....my Mom died of cancer when I was 14. That was indeed a sad funeral.

  It is sad when JW's turn the funeral into a witnessing event, it should be a memorial ABOUT the person who has died, a tribute to them.

  I am glad that Jason was so helpful and kind to you...you got a good man there!

  And yes, you guys are great hosts' for parties.....

  You both love to entertain and you love having company and it shows...

  I feel so much for what you are going thru. It is sad to see our parents die.

  I was 14 when I watched my mother die from cancer.....

  Do what you have to do to show her you love her....like the others said: phone call, visits and flowers, many hugs from you....Once they are gone you can't do any of those things. Have peace of mind for what you can do for her NOW...

  At least you are showing her "unconditional love"....she will appreciate and love you for it.

  i have to say that i've been astounded at the response (in a positive way!)..

  got this story from a friend....last night, my friends and i went to a ladies night club.

  one of the girls wanted to impress the rest of us, so she pulled out a $10 bill.

  when the male dancer came over to us, my friend licked the $10 bill and stuck it to his butt cheek!

  Why aren't you guys working?

  as a stay-at-home mom, i can occasionally find a few minutes every few days to play on the computer, but the amount of activity on this forum during us working hours is pretty surprising.

  folks from other parts of the world notwithstanding, how are you american members able to post during work hours?.
