  My daughter and granddaughter.

  this may be a bit long,,, sorry,.

  my daughter t was born when i was a married witness,i was almost 21.she was a very sweet outgoing loving child.when she was 4 i had another daughter s .

  lol this one was my challenge when she was little but is now such a joy to me.. anyway t began school at 5 and seemed to be doing well with school and her friends.. just about a month after she began 1st grade we had stopped to eat lunch while out in service.t suddenly made a strange noise she looked off into space with a strange stare and wouldnt respond to anything we said or did.i was in a panic by the time she began talking again and told us that she heard us but couldnt answer us at that point.demons?was my first thought but as i began to ask her about it then i began to feel she had had a small seizure.

  I have to agree with what Sassy just wrote....it is amazing how "conditional" our family's love is for us.

  You have been an excellent mother, and one day your daughter will realize it.

  Funeral today

  well i have decided to attend a funeral this afternoon at the kingdom hall.an elder whom i feel was a very nice man passed away .. his wife has always been welcomming to me at the hall.

  and doesnt do the ,i dont see you thing, if and when we run into each other in public.

  she actually smiles and nods to me.. it will be interesting as my daughter and son in law and grandaughter (whom i dont see unless by accident) will be attending too.. it has been a hard choice as weather to go or not.

  A very thought provoking review.....chocked full with resource materials, thank you!!!

  I kinda chuckled when you said, how many really take advantage of witnessing anywhere they are like Jesus did?

  I found informal witnessing the BEST way to bring up scriptures and reason with people. Much more effective than the door to door way. Most of the time I wouldn't even mention my religion, only if they asked what religion I was. People walked away feeling much better with a scripture of hope and that made me feel great for making them feel better that day!

  no...it is not in my nature to "slam" someone...

  I believe that sooner or later the poster who is outta line will get caught up with...

  Example: everybody avoids posting on any of their threads....

  Usually if someone has been outta line with me....somebody who has been here longer usually says something addressing the out of line poster (which I am always thankful that they do that).

  hmmm...I have some Mormon neighbors that are so smug.......it scares me!!!!!!!

  They never try to help their neighbors out, but will say "hello".....out of ritual.

  I especially like this comment:

  Is that the way it is in your congregation? When you miss a few meetings, do the brothers and sisters visit you to see how they can help? Do they volunteer to help clean your house, get the groceries, bring by your magazines or other publications, read some scriptures with you, give you a hug? Or do they drop by to use the bathroom in service, drink and eat, tell you should be at the meeting, and leave without even doing the dishes?

  I would love to see somebody REALLY come to an aid of somebody instead of the above.

  That is the scenario I received upon the arrival of my latest move. Especially the part about dropping by to use the bathroom and have a coffee break and tell me what I NEED to do............after I have been raised as a JW and can find scriptures better than they can in service with them...........................ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  where's the love?............not there.

  thanks again Blondie for your researching. I again know what my jw family member's are being taught.......since I don't get the magazines anymore!

  Was it because it was expected of you? Because you were raised in the truth(tm)? and now you have it because it is not expected of you?

  I would like to know because, I was raised in the truth(tm) and have always had spirituality...and a relationship with God....I have always been keen to hypocrisy....just shoved it back cause ya know, we were in the truth(tm).
