  OK...............here is the latest on our much loved Ozzie.

  i have had trouble getting onto mrs ozzie since the operation but this morning i rang the hospital and was put through to mr ozzie himself!.

  we spoke for quite a while and he sounded fantastic!!!!!!!.

  i passed on the love of the board and told him he has so many people who love him.

  My JW neighbor's birthday

  as i was headed home the other day, it occurred to me that it was my jw neighbor's birthday.

  i remembered this as i realized that she would be at my home in about 20 minutes so that i could help her with something.

  so, i quickly stopped at a store and got her a gift, and had it gift-wrapped.

  I know this because of the many things you do for people....

  Your JW neighbor is not getting any real Christian love....no wonder she is so depressed. You are an excellent neighbor and friend and I am sure she treasures you greatly.

  Hmmm...missing a meeting and celebrating her birthday....sounds like she is sitting on the fence post and maybe taking a long hard look at the religion that is suppose to be showing her love, but isn't.

  Who knows, maybe she will be talking to you about this issue, as we all know, we can't with other JW's or we get turned in and are branded "bad association".

  To me, showing appreciation to both host and hostess is just plain common etiquette.

  VERY ANGRY at jw for treating someone special to me/other women so bad

  i think that the way jw treats women is absolutely terrible!!!!!

  makes me want to confront them and give the powers that be a taste of the same medicine they dish out.

  how can the be so cold and insensitive to treat another human being this way for any reason and try to justify with the words of the bible.

  Sorry you are hurting right now.

  There are many men that leave being a JW and they still don't treat women with much respect or honor.

  Me being a woman, I take these issues very personal.

  Maybe the issues are deeper then gender...maybe they just don't respect ANYONE and have no conscience.

  Thanks Kate for your kind words....You are right, it is 2005........not the 50's....Weird how some guys are stuck in that mindset.

  My husband has noted and feels very bad. He knows I did most of the work and cooking.....It was suppose to be OUR event, but somehow I look invisible, and he feels my pain....

  Makes me not want to have anyone over to my house anymore.

  well, my sil and best friend came to this site on my recommendation (jw).

  i just wanted her to check it out without judgement as we have always been able to talk about everything.

  she basically was disgusted, said it was full of crap and lies and would never look at it again.

  Things are more serious for Ozzie..................

  .....................i received an sms from mrs ozzie last night informing me that ozzie is having an extremely risky operation on wednesday morning, 8am australian time.

  i can't give more details at this stage as to the procedure due to confidentiality but i can assure you it is going to be dangerous!

  mrs ozzie said that it had to be done despite the risk.. so if all of us here could take a moment tomorrow and send positive thoughts.
