why do we need to be referred to as newbies?
how does that "labeling status" get achieved, moving up to the top of the labeling process?
and why does the labeling exist at all?
Sassy:
Thanks for your input.... a new person does need attention and welcoming. I must say this board is pretty good at that...as I already mentioned, I started posting in June and had a very nice warm welcome.

Valis: Thanks again for your help...guess I will have to live with the mystery of UAD...lol
Jgnat: Thanks for the welcome...and I have read your thread for newbies about 6 months ago...it is very informative and great to have those links available for research...
Thanks again for all of you that have helped out an interested Newbie!!!

ok.. I thank you very much for your replies....And thanks for the welcome as well..
I have been posting since last June....actually was afraid to post before, even though I did a lot of reading here and research (thank you all by the way for sharing information that the WTBS have hidden away). Thanks to encouragement from Scully and Joy2bfree I got off the "lurkers" wagon...lol!!! And by the way...I am not here to stir up anything....but to show appreciation for the things I have read as a "lurker" and I also enjoy the experiences of many posters and their questions. When I first started reading this board as a "lurker", I could identify very much with how many of them felt and I was glad to know I wasn't alone in that respect.
I would like to know exactly: How many posts does it take to get to various levels? Does anyone have that info??? Possibly a moderator???
Thanks again for your warm welcomes and responses to a "Newbie"....

Why do we need to be referred to as Newbies? How does that "labeling status" get achieved, moving up to the top of the labeling process? And why does the labeling exist at all? What purpose does it serve?
I am asking this because, about a year ago when I first started lurking I found it very intriguing to find a "label" beneath someone's name and why some had different "labels" and just why does the labeling exist? Many other first posters probably have wondered as well as "lurkers".

new years is almost upon us and hell has frozen over, oops, i mean the seahawks have stumbled their way into the playoffs.
its time to set our mind to a get-together!
seattle area and those who can travel easily to seattle, lets put our heads together and decide on something mutually acceptable!
Hey:
Keep me and Mr. CB posted on the final decision and date...would be nice to meet you all... I have already met Mulan and Big Red...had an enjoyable breakfast with them a couple of months ago.
