  well not 'new', as i'm over 30. heh but i'm newly out (letter of disassociation dropped off at kh end of january, and i was announced last thursday night).

  i posted my 'story' on a different ex-jw board, and as it is so long, i'm not reprinting it.

  mike sends his regards and apoligies for his absence for a few days.

  he is in hospital having a few tests done and doesn't have access to computer facilities at the moment.. his 'ticker' is misbehaving - i think it must be short of beer!

  everything else about him is working perfectly normal - so he has all the nurses running around and is thoroughly enjoying all the attention!

  I felt just like you when I read COC....take your time...there is no rush...the bomb has dropped and now you are going thru recovery. I too was raised in the Truth (tm)....but seeing the Dateline Special almost 2 years ago was when my rose colored glasses began to come off. I couldn't stand the hypocrisy, pointing the finger at the Catholic church for their pedophile problem, while the WTBS nicely shoved it under the rug, so we wouldn't even know.

  There are a lot of nice people here....keep doing your research. If you get a chance to meet some posters...go for it...you will make new friends and people that really care about you!

  I really enjoyed your experience and can identitfy with why you had doubts...and the lack of love by gossipers out in field service. I too was appalled to be around such unchristian an unloving behavior, and the judgmental attitudes as well. I like your name too!!

  i don't know what eles to call it , i guess it is the user name....lol.......so what does yours mean?.

  i think awhile back i might have asked this,,,,,,,but it was way back and so many new ones here that i am just getting to know, and ones who came in here while i was not here as much.

  there may be a thread on this in the last recent months, i am not sure,,,,if so, if there are any new ones who want to tell why they choose their user names,,,,,please do.. i will tell you why my name is lyineyes,,,,,many have asked me that here lately.

  Hugely embarrassing afternoon

  all my co-law clerks were in on it, my boss in the law office i work at was in on it, three of my professors were in on it, half the attorneys in the office were apparently in on it.

  i got hauled into court today, supposedly to watch an attorney appeal a decision on a motion, but no, that's not what happened.

  i walked into a set up, by my boyfriend, to be proposed to, in open court in front of nearly 20 people.
