im 20 years and i had been "studying" for a year, convinced that the world was going to end and if i didn't do as i was told that i would go with it.
encuraged to leave my parents and live on my own so i could reach my "potential" as young, no comitments etc...pioneer ugggh... creepy.
discuraged from going to uni, whats the point i might well focus my energy on more "productive" things.

i was thinking about how many people i loved.. and conversely, how many people love me.
in both instances, i only came up with one person.
(actually, i feel love for some, but i doubt it's reciprocated).
Well....I know NODenial does....my sons, and a couple of niece's and nephew!!!
Not really sure of anyone else!!!
for those of you who know me, i want to let you know what has been happening lately.. on july 8th, i went in for emergency colon cancer surgery.
the tumor was removed but some malignancy was found in a few lymph nodes so chemo was recommended.
i had my first of 12 treatments last week and appear to be doing okay without any side effects.. your prayers and best wishes are appreciated very much.
I am so sorry to hear of your illness
I am relieved to know you are doing well with your treatments......and I hope that continues...
My prayers are with you

hey guys, .
just wanted to take the time to give my 2 cents here.
for 10 years, i've neglegted my family.
I am sooooooo happy for you!!! Glad you had a great time with your family.....I am sure they were happy to see you too...
so i'm reading this book you can't afford the luxury of a negative thought, by peter mcwilliams and this chapter jumped out at me, i'll quote it below because to me it totally answers the jw dogma and how ingrained that feeling of never being good enough, or just plain enough.
i would be interested in some feed back if you have any.. where does negative thinking come from?.
part i page 49.. why do we use the power of our mind to create a negative reality?
Thanks for sharing!!! That was very interesting!!!
my brother's wife gave birth this afternoon to a 5lb 7oz baby boy.
he was five weeks early (we knew he would be a preemie) and both mom and baby are well.
it's quite a relief really.
Congrats to all of the family, glad to hear the baby and Mom and well!!!
.
as much as i dreaded going to all the meetings there were things that i did enjoy.. 1. no special parking spaces for the elders, etc.. 2. no collections plate going around the room.
3. no one person giving the talk every single week (can you imagine the same speaker 3 to 4 times a week, every day?
ok...the first Theocratic School and Ministry meeting: I enjoyed the fact they used teenagers, as a 10 year old that caught my attention and I loved it!!!
There were some times in my adult life that I did enjoy it.......feeling the comraderie and all.....and feeling like I had "friends" there that cared about me
i have a question:.
if you have a retainer, do you wear it?.
i haven't worn my retainer in about six months, and the periodontist told me on a recent visit that i need to go ahead and wear it, or my teeth will all revert back to their original positions (not pretty; my teeth were pretty busted-looking before braces) he says that because i'm an adult it will happen much faster than a child's or teen's.. i've tried unsuccessfully to keep it on for sustained periods for the last 24 hours, and it just hurts too much to wear.
I would certainly ask my orthodontist those questions........heck, you paid a lot for his/her services...and they should be guaranteed especially IF your wisdom teeth were removed AFTER the retainer was made, that means, your teeth had room to shift.

Hi Razormind!
I was an adult orthodontic patient.
I had no problems wearing the the clear plastic retainer and did so at night probably for 2 years after my braces came off. My retainer was NEVER uncomfortable....sounds like your shift might have occurred rather quickly. You have already paid a mighty sum for your braces, if need be, your orthodontist can put them back on, FREE of charge, till rectify the matter. Your teeth are quite an investment!!!
I have a permanent retainer on the bottom teeth......otherwise they would have reverted back almost as soon as the braces came off.
How long have you had your braces off???

i am feeling pretty negative today.
i got a call from a family member (a successfully faded family member) who asked me if i was going to another family member?s wedding.
i told him i had not been invited.
(((Purza))) Sorry you are hurting today
