  Why are honest questions considered apostasy?

  this is why as i was growing up (raised in "the truth") i never asked questions.

  i never understood the birthday issue among other holidays.

  i never asked because i was scared i would be looked at as an apostate or as someone being worn down by the wicked association.

  I too was raised as a JW.

  My husband asked the Co on a visit to our house (we are fading and don't go to meetings) about the UN. The Co was aware of the UN invovlement, agreed he heard they were and would make NO comment on it.

  IF they make a comment it is much like taking a political position, and for elders and Co's.....they know they must support only the WTBS or they loose their POSITION. They must keep the "flock" united, even if it means a "coverup"...

  my sister-in-law emailed me, and asked me about some of the sites i have visited.

  how did i find out about the un, and what doesn't support the 607/1914 thing.

  apparently they haven't been to the meetings in four months.

  an old witness friend of mine had a serious drinking problem and went to an elder in his hall for some help.

  the elder tried to console him and told him that he could understand what he was going through.

  he said "i have an addiction too you know - chocolate cake.

  Seems rather weird the elder and his wife are just now checking out your shop Seems pretty pathetic they are more worried about you then pedophiles!
