Thinking of getting reinstated? Read my story.

a lot has happened to me since march.

i have learned so much.

i hesitated to put this out in jwd, but i now think that if it helps one person, it will have been worth it.

Thanks for sharing your recent life experience in being reinstated.

Hard to believe that in 2.5 months the elders approached you for a reinstatement letter and with not attending all meetings. And your friends said after you reinstatement: we can play cards! (rolling my eyes as I read that comment too, what love!) NO phone calls from people...and it took your brother 2 weeks to call you?

An organizaiton of brotherly love: NOT

Sorry you went thru all of this, but I think your thread will get many who are df'd to rethink "why get reinstated"?

I never read that book.

But when my JW husband of 18 years left me...cause of an anononymous letter showing his infidelity...........

I got the book: "Starting Over" by the same auther...

I think he has the analgies correct.......Mine definitely gave me an edge NO elder could give me.. I am glad I took the adventure to get the book and learn for myself.

To be spiritual is more important then religious.

I too, was raised as a JW. My rose colored glasses cracked when I saw the last 10 minutes of Dateline May 2002 (the exposure of pedophiles in the JW's). The world has never been the same. I have been fading for a little over 2 years now.

Last night it was Yellowtail Shiraz.....I must say the bouquet was so flavorful I just couldn't stop.......(good thing I didn't have to be at a job today!)

Oh My Cawed! $29,000+

ok. i "won" a "fully favorable" social security disability claim on august 29, 2005. from there it takes 2 - 6 months to receive a letter outlining just how much i will receive in back pay and in monthly.. today i got an envelope with $29,794.00.

no letter, no nothing!.

i am primarily posting this to barbara anderson, but obviously everyone is welcome to correct or comment on my remarks as they see fit.

mrs. anderson, i realize that trying to cover all bases in your pending russell bio would be impossible, but i do hope that you will be able to include a section on the first president of the watch tower society, william h. conley.

i hope that you have had a chance to research conley with some degree of thoroughness, so as to dispel some of the half-truths that some bible students and jws try to promote (such as that conley's age and health caused his inactivity with russell after 1881).

hello this is my first time on this web site.i am an inactive jw.

married to a jw.didnt believe in there teachings for many years.. looked and read at your site for along time.

its one of the best.iam not very good at typing or spelling.and cyber communication.. hard to have a marriage when one believes and the other one doesnt.we were both raised jws .but i changed and she didnt.. common story.too years to learn to think for myself.
