Welcome
This is a very supportive board. It has been great therapy since finding out about the hypocrisy within the JW religion. (IF you are a JW you can't ask questions about the UN or pedophile problem without them labeling you as "apostate".

It breaks my heart to read your topic. I am truly sorry for their lack of love.
It is THEIR lack of love that is the issue....there isn't anything wrong with you.
We all have a need to feel loved, and knowing we are missed.
Continue to surround yourself with people that truly love you...

Destin/Panama City Beach, Florida: for the amazing white sand powder beaches, turquoise/green water you have ever seen!!!
Fildalgo Island (Washington): amazing water/mountain/other island views everywhere, it is truly stunning!
Banff : reminds me of a Canadian Swiss Alps. IF you are into photography like I am, the snapshots are endless
Yosemite National Park (California): again, photographers heaven!!! Even if you aren't into photography, the endless picturesque scenes are breathtaking!
I know the destinations are not cities...but for the traveler who wants beauty....and serenity, these are a must see!

A bit reluctant
by saki2fifty ini'm a bit reluctant in writing this post, for i dont feel i should be here.
even a bit nervous... .
i've never officially dedicated myself to jehovah, but i was brought up in the truth, very strong, and at times when getting older, there were lulls in my attendance... yet to this day i still attend.

You can never leave Jehovah but you can leave a religion.
Jesus didn't endorse any particular religion, did he?
He showed us the way to have a relationship with Jehovah. Jesus is our mediator, NOT a religion.
Just because I am not at a KH doesn't mean I have left Jehovah or that I don't have a relationship with him.
Just something to think about...

I'm confused
by Auchmull ini've been studying with a jw for a short time.
i started searching the internet for more information because much of what she was saying and what i was reading made sense, but i didn't trust my own judgment.
i haven't seen the ugliness that i read about here and as an outsider, it looks comforting.

Hi there...If you are feeling terribly conflicted, that might mean you have a good reason to not be involved with this religion.
I too, was raised in this religion, very zealous and faithful, and like Lady Liberty, when finding out the "real facts" about certain issues, I could NO longer deal with the hypocrisy. The lack of love within the religion hurt as well. Imagine relocating and the elders come to welcome you and say: "we need to see your publishers cards, YOU might be pedophiles". (I sank in horror on my couch that they would think we were pedophiles)
You have a conscience for a reason. I am glad you are researching. Hope your confusion ends soon.
