by Dogpatch infrom mercury online in the u.k.. our witness daughter is not allowed to talk to us.. they were once devoted believers-but a husband and wife say their faith has been tested and their family torn apart after they were thrown out of the jehovah`s witnesses.
members of the bradwell congregation- including their only child, a daughter- are now forbidden from speaking to david and brenda gibbons since they were forced to leave.
they were thrown out by a judicial committee at great yarmouth kingdom hall in july, after writing a letter containing personal criticism to another member of the congregation.

Got another letter published in our local paper!!
by HadEnuf inthis time i thought for sure they wouldn't publish this one...but i believe our local paper, the stevens point journal is a very liberal, progressive little newspaper.
the elders ignored my last letter...i wonder if they can ignore this one???
oh how i love it!!.

I am so tired...........
by vitty init is midnight and i have just got out of bed......................no sleep for me tonight ...........again.
i am so tired.
i suffer from insomnia like a lot of posters here but when i do sleep, a couple of times a week at worse or once every couple of months i have night terrors.. *these only started when i found out the truth about the org, so i can only conclude its stress.

I have had sleep problems for about 9 years now. It started before my 1st JW husband left me.......but he was a cheater in our marriage...so I think the PTSD was already hitting me.
We divorced and I had to learn to support myself an our son on $7.00 and hour..........no wonder I had more sleep problems and became anorexic..... I won't tell you what the DR. gave me for almost 3 years...but it helped me to have a decent night's sleep, I was able to get up and go to work with NO side affects, and save me from a mental breakdown. (I no longer take that med now)
Now....because of learning I was in a cult....and fading.......and now a son sending me a hateful/angry email showing me no respect cause I won't go to meetings and cutting me off from his life.....I wanted to die.......
The last month was horrible...........but.... I take 3 benadryls at night........not just for sleep, I have extreme allergies and I try to take it about 1.5 hours before I want to sleep. If I can't sleep I get up.......watch tv or read on the computer till I am sleepy.
Melatonin...didn't work for me...even though they say it is safe, because our bodies naturally produce it, it caused great nightmares for me, so even though I was sleeping, the nightmares wore me out and my brain didn't shut off.
It's really true........get 30 minutes of cardio a day.....try the benadryl......... or go to a dr. There are a lot of meds on the market that are NOT narcotic and you won't get hooked.
The other thing is have your hormone panel tested. Using bio-identical hormones to pick up the slack from your hormone panel deficiencies maybe what could work for you. Read: "Ageless" by Suzanne Somers....

My Wedding
by VanillaMocha73 inso, my mom's trailer flooded last week and her congregation lifted not a finger to assist.
she was given 30 minutes to evac.
she made it out with her clothes on her back and her cats.

A person can take a "fraction" at his own discretion but NOT the whole thing?
That's like telling a kid...ok, you can have a bite of the candy but not the whole bar...(duh....they are still having candy!!!)

Sparkplug is in surgery now
by hambeak ini called the hospital a few minutes ago and sparky is currently in surgery.
i am going to by on my way home from work and say hi.
should i bring some flowers?

Sorry to hear about your surgery.
Do hope you have a speedy recovery. Remember to take it easy IF they tell you to. I have had a few surgeries and didn't follow their suggestions just because I hate laying around. If you lived close, I would come by and help you out. Glad you have some children that look like they are old enough to help you out!
