  What's the most ridiculous thing you were ever counselled on?

  one of the cornerstones of jw's is counsel.

  they just love to give counsel and many times they will literally make things up just for the sake of counsel.

  i was once counselled for joking around too much.

  Did you ever say/do anything as a dub that went against your conscience?

  i ask this question because now that i'm out of the borg and see things for what they are, i have been reflecting on what i did and said as a dub.. i truly believed in the preaching work when i was in.

  i believed in alot of the things from the bible.

  so for me, the preaching was something i enjoyed.

  Ummm yer ....I smoked on the sly for awhile...

  That was the most serious offence I guess ...at the time.

  Also I guess looking back I never had much respect or time for the elders.

  Yer after I seen the sunday show...I lost all respect for them...escp. the elders.

  One Elder There That I showed the tape too, stood down because he was outraged, He was the only one I could say I kept any respect for.

  He was bald, and his shiny head looked like a penis, so my sister and I started calling him Brother Dingdong or Dingaling behind his back. One look at that gleaming head during a meeting, and we would start with the puerile penis jokes and start poking each other and snickering.

  Any Advice - Afteraffects of taking the Reality Pill

  i have been posting on this board on and off for about two years now.

  it has been a tremendous help to me to read other people's experiences, to laugh, cry and just plain identify.

  however, something weird is going on with me in the last six months and i am totally freaked out.

  Ive thought about this stuff as well...the only way I can cope with this is to think well...When I Die..If I know nothing...I know nothing...if there is something else...well so be it...I do still believe in some of the teachings, but not many...but I never believed that Jehovah wouldnt resurrect those who were DF or DA..because according to scripture...once your dead, your sins are forgiven. Ive only been out 3 months, and Im still pretty confused as well...but Im sure there are others here , who can prob. answer you better than me.

  Will the Internet bring down the watchtower Bible and Tract Society

  in the united states i keep hearing about how nobody sees the witness is going door-to-door and more, or at least not as often as they used to.

  i also heard a report from england recently which stated to the same effect.. what do you think?

  do you think the internet is the watchtower society's worst nightmare?.
