  i think i went in chat last night (i may be mistaken) and i can't remember what i said.

  if i offended anyone, i apologise.

  i hade one wine too many because a dear friend has cancer at the age of 25 - she has a 3 year old a an 18 month old - ain't life a bitch.

  English behaviour in Portugal

  i was listening to radio 4 earlier, and came across an interesting item.. the english fans are practically the only ones to give the portuguese police any trouble as far as loutish behaviour, fighting and other forms of violence (although there have been similar incidents with other nations, they are pretty much isolated compared to ours - according to this report, other nation's fans view the english fans with a certain amount of caution and fear).

  the english are the only nation not to have committed any traffic violations!

  other nations, particularly the portuguese themselves, have committed numerous parking and driving violations.. according to a portuguese police spokesman "the english drive impeccably and park exactly where they are told - we are shocked - we weren't expecting this".

  my husband expects me to have the group study here in our house.

  we have always had the group study, plus 3 field service groups.

  i clean the room, buy the tea/coffee/biscuits/cakes.

  Why does God allow people to develop 'forbidden' special powers?

  something i have been wondering about lately.. whether you believe in god or not, are a christian or some other religion or no religion at all, i'd be interested in your opinion.. according to those who believe in the bible including most christians, god condemns the use of 'special' powers/abilities.

  for example, esp, tarot, astrology, consulting a medium, spells etc.

  however, if god created us, did he not give us the ability to develop and use such powers?

  i have been doing a lot of soul-searching lately.. i have never considered questioning the bible before.

  as a child, i was taught that to question the bible was blasphemous.

  but lately, since coming to this forum and reading all the various posts and links to other sites, i have started thinking really seriously about things.

  Trying not to 'contaminate' others

  does anyone else feel the same that they feel afraid when approached by a particular bro or sis, particularly one you like and who is really nice.

  i feel that i may get them into trouble just for talking to me.

  i don't want to drop them in it so i always keep the conversation short.

  i have heard about this forum from someone, but i won't say who as i don't want to expose them.

  i am in the process of evaluating my life as a jw.

  it has been a pretty sad life - without a real feeling of 'belonging'.
