I get an asset check up sometimes...."so, do you still own that house?" " where are you living now? Do you own or rent? How big? Is it a house, condo or trailer?" "Do you still own .....?"

Kendrick " Letter of Introduction " from Elders regarding Candace Conti Case
by flipper inas many of us saw in the pbs news hour program and the abc news nightline program the elders from one congregation failed to communicate properly to the elders in another congregation concerning the child molester jonathan kendrick when he moved to a new congregation.
i have parts of this " introduction letter " from the fremont congregation to the oakley congregation elders so you can read it for yourself and decide how irresponsible these wt appointed elders were.
dated 1/16/98 it opens : .

I would like a good response to those who say all this comes from apostate lies.
I'm in a somewhat negative mode right now....think most JWs I know would be troubled with possibility of it being true but without true evidence, would think it is a money grab and or satan/apostate attack.
so sad and frustrating.

Interview with an Apostate: Seeking Agape
by Seeking agape intell us a little about yourself and your family.my parents became jw's in 1968. my oldest sisters came along in the early 70's because my parents thought they would not have to raise them in this "system of things".
are your parents / family jws?.
now we have great discussions about religion, life, the bible, god and my uber dub sister.

Greetings and thank you for sharing. Stories like yours really help me fight the "fog" that often still haunts me on the weekend. You are wise to discern what true friendship is NOT so that you can be the opposite and attract better friends.
i'm still working my mental shifting but am largely faded, inactive 11 months yet still not mentally "free" from guilt, and many beliefs/practices i've held for nearly 2 decades.
I've read that there is a CA Ex-JW meet-up every July. I believe Mr. Flipper coordinates it. If you are interested you might want to look it up. I believe they meet at campground in Lake Tahoe.
All the best to you and your son in proving what is true, living authentically with self-repect, integrity, more joy and a more refined BS detector.
Peace to you,

Wow. This thread sure adds light to JW'strategice real estate direction. That they were burned once...they are mitigating as exodus puts them at risk for another move. Use smoke and lights (distractions of new publications/light/etc) to keep everyone distracted while they tighten the reigns.

Worst Memorial Talk Ever!
by The Searcher ini honestly have never heard such claptrap being delivered in a memorial talk.. the speaker repeatedly put down the way other religions administered the bread & wine, and claimed that witnesses do it exactly as the bible describes.
oh yeah????.
he forgot to mention - when reading aloud 1 corinthians 11:25 - that after passing the bread, a full meal was to be shared, before the wine was passed around!

An elder asked me tonight, mildly sarcastically, if I showed up to help boost attendance.

THANK YOU. First time going with awareness and saw and heard them say Judas NOT there ....only 11. I knew he was for bread and meal and confirmed tonight that he was ALSO there for wine. Made huge impact on hubby too. He finally started COC this week.
Lovely people I would likely not see unless I was there tonight. Almost exactly following outline and notes to letter as last year. I showed notes on iPad to hubby from last year during talk and he said we can stay home and follow same outline again next year!
Still trying to get my head around all this ....that Judas partook unworthily, but partook. We all do have free will.
Overall glad I went. I enjoyed it from a whole new angle.

Appear that while Judas was there for the bread and meal but think he was dismissed before the wine. Checking. -

Investigating mormons was/is very helpful for me. Found this quote|:
“If we have the truth, it cannot be harmed by investigation. If we have not the truth, it ought to be harmed.”
– President J. Reuben Clark – Mormon Church (past president)
I understand not being interested in holidays....I am still there but loosening on Thanksgiving, Valentines, etc. She needs to get past fear of reading. So if she finds stuff out she can either prove it right or wrong. Does she want to live in darkness just to retain a similar view with parents?
It is painful to learn many things you thought were true are not. She obviously knows something is wrong with JWs. Her guilt and fear are keeping her from examining her beliefs. Remind her the Bible commends the Bereans (Acts 17:11) for not blindly believing what they were told by men, but by searching the scriptures and proving what they said.
Here are some nice quotes to share when appropriate:
“If we have the truth, it cannot be harmed by investigation. If we have not the truth, it ought to be harmed.”
– Past President J. Reuben Clark –Mormon Church
"I believe that it is better to tell the truth than a lie. I believe it is better to be free than to be a slave. And I believe it is better to know than to be ignorant."
“The best way to find out if you can trust somebody is to trust them.”
― Ernest Hemingway“The beginning of love is the will to let those we love be perfectly themselves, the resolution not to twist them to fit our own image. If in loving them we do not love what they are, but only their potential likeness to ourselves, then we do not love them: we only love the reflection of ourselves we find in them”
― Thomas Merton, No Man Is an Island“Most men would rather deny a hard truth than face it.” George R.R. Martin, A Game of Thrones“All truth passes through three stages: First, it is ridiculed; Second, it is violently opposed; Third, it is accepted as self-evident.”
― Arthur SchopenhauerPeace to you
