only JW's can analize scripture because they are spiritual

The definition of "spiritual" is kinda elusive. If by spiritual he means religious then the most religious man lived 500 years BCE. His name was Gautama Siddhartha -the guy who invented Bhuddhism. His take was give up all material things, control and kill all fleshly desires and live a morally good life. If you followed his bilge, you would be ten thousand times more spiritual than this clown of an elder. How come the Enlightened one couldn't see what our enlightened elder sees? Oh I forgot -Paul hadn't written to the Cor: yet.-gosh I must be an idiot -he wasn't even born; I'm a total moron. His parents wouldn'tbe born for another 500 years!

J is looking down on the entire earth and cannot see a man who teaches lives and dies practicing almost exactly what the JW's teach about being spiritual and non-materialistic. He gets passed over for a murderer turned spiritual teacher , who inturn has directly annointed our elder pal in 2014( and all Jw's) to tell us he can see what we can't. Amazing X-ray vision. Just like superman's .Can he describe and put into words how his spiritual perception is better educated to intepret the scriptures to us, and how that spirituality makes him so eloquent that he cant put into words why his intepretation is superior in meaning to the black and white understood by all who read it? Because his "spiritual vision" of the scriptures is just as fake as the born agains " speaking -in tongues" crap. Just as they can't give a reason for their transformation or explain what it exactly s for , this elder is just as gobbledegook in his.

Sometime before the onset of the GREAT TRIBULATION," J will PUT IT INTO THE HEARTS OF ALL WORLD RULERS TO DO AWAY WITH FALSE RELIGION". (Babylon The Great). so:

1. How come FREE WILL takes a nose-dive with J guiding the hearts of the Beast's minions?

2. If J can magically change the hearts of men with such flagrant ease and cruise control their thought processes, why the heck didn't this navigation kick in at Eden? During the history of man with bimbos like Hitler and Stalin and Bin Ladin to name just three? And of course the WBTS and its FDS with their false doctrines, torture of innocents and pro-pediophilia mandates?

If this is the brand of logic the FDS is pumping out, one must be lobotomized to be still in. ( present company excepted).

a couple of days ago in town i met a jw guy i have known since he was a kid in diapers, he is now an elder and must be 40 yrs old, still a kid to me, though.. he gave me the spiel about "we would love to see you come back " , i said that i could not come back to the religion i had left as it no longer existed (a line i got from my friend bill), this elder replied that there "had been changes, but the basics remain the same".. i just was not quick enough with this one, i just sort of nodded at that and went on about what i simply could not swallow as "truth".

overlapping generation etc etc.. what he was meaning by the basics being the same is that nothing has changed on the "what jw's don't believe in" front, i.e trinity, immortal soul etc.

the reality it is that the basics of jw/wt teachings about what they do believe in have all changed !.

Whats with TROLLS posting on this forum ,dont they just expose themselves as less than intelligent?

i mean to say it only takes a couple of posts to identify a troll , what do they hope to acheive ?

they only convince me, how stupid they are, with not a thinking cell in their brain .. do they think its another avenue to get fs hours in ?

do they think their going to convince one of us to go back to the kh.?

Many years ago (30 odd)when I met my first JW, I was already out of a mainstream church. What the guy told me about the bible seemed genuine but he did come up with some absurd stuff-" the nations of the earth would fight for the hidden treasures of the earh viz: oil", a fact he later denied when I asked him where in the bible it said that?. Another claimed that Armageddon would arrive before the turn of the last century. Niave as I was, I had serious doubts about what they were saying. Yet another claim of theirs was that man had been in existence on earth for only 6000 years despite my remonstrations that remains of humans had been found that were tens of thousands years old. Despite all my doubts I believed this was the "truth", due their pointing out the false beliefs of mainstream christianity. However, six months later stopped believing their take but was haunted by the thought that they were perhaps on to true christianity and being human were prone to make a few innocuous mistakes. To cut a long story short I got baptized and felt this was the real tabbasco. I knew about 1975 as I was informed about it by my first "friend ". That however stayed with me and I was never convinced that the FDS was infallible. I started investigating various websites( apostates) and gradually learned what this bunch of jokers( WBTS) is alll about. The point I'm trying to make is that all it takes is one doubt to get you out of their system. The wheels of critical thinking grind a bit slowly for some(Yours truly for one ) but there eventually come a point where the critical mass of reason and rationality wipes out their indoctrination. I do remember the first few times I entered this site I was intimidated by some posts that spoke about satanistic beliefs and related stuff. Swore I would never come back. But as I said, reason and rationality prevails. All it needs is the first doubt to get one started. Some of these "Trolls" may be ones with their first doubt propelling them -out of WBTS soon hopefully.

The WBTS is a powerful org. -in the US at least. What with laws protecting religious freedom bent backwards so that societies such as these can function with impunity, Trolls could be their canaries on one hand -on the other, if they really really are searching for lurkers , with their current tecnological/ electronic knowhow, wouldn't they be enabled to find anyone they want on ex-JW sites? Just asking.

New to The Jehovahs Witness Faith and need some help

hello there i am new to the faith and have been studying for about a month.

i am very excited and hungry for the truth and have not missed a meeting or study since the memorial.

we do about 2 bible studies a week.

Are you rich or well off economically? Alternatively do you or your husband have a good job..say asst. bank manager or top level executive in some firm, or yet, a successful businessman? The reason I ask is such entrants into the JW fold are accorded a red carpet welcome and made to feel that they are the star VIP attractions in the congregation. Sure you are being taught their brand of Bible History and it all seems so enlightening - a renniasance in the Christian Faith. But as rosyas they( The JW's) may seem and smell- and some of them are genuinly nice people- the well-meaning respondants to your query in this forum, have been through it all and have experienced and seen through the hypocrisy and deceipt that accompanies this orgs. indoctrination process . Its policies and Modus Operandi is cloned from the practices of Catholic church during the dark ages and the 15th-early 20th centuries. As someone has said earlier - this is the "honeymoon" period you are going through. Once the novelty wears off you will begin to doubt and and ask questions for which they will have no answers. At least not rational ones. Think of this forum then. We'll be here.

Meanwhile enjoy the attention, adulation and the illusions of "TRUTH" that you bask in at the moment . I do not mean to offend your sensibilities.Just stating a fact.

Is JW.org overriding entry into JW.net?

tried to get into jw.net twice but a popup informed me that the official website of jw's is jw.org.

this was about 2 hours back.

anybody with a similar experience?.

I want write a letter disassociating myself from the org. but some wel-lmeaning worldly friends advised against it saying "just let go". Still mulling it over but -hence the name I chose- my "hairtrigger "instinct is to tell them to"shove it".

Anonymous Donation - Not!

my mother in law (in her 80's) just told me that she had the elders around to pick up her 'donation' pledge.

it was 'suggested that $20 a month was the average amount pledged but she could pledge more or less.

so, rather than an anonymous amount they have a signed document stating the amount of her pledge.

In third world countries the average donation would be much..much less. South East Asian countries would average around -at the current exchange rate-$4 per person per month. Ball park estimate.
