In certain ethnicities, there is yet another emergening phenomenon regarding religion. An 18 year old girl was heard telling someone " I don't want to be a churchgoer because my family is. I want a different religion. I think I'm going to choose Buddhism because it is a cool religion." When asked for details she mentioned her aunt was a buddhist and she had found her to be a very pious person; with apleasant smelling house, full of incense burning etc. No doubt the aunt must have exerted a massive influence in indoctrinating her with that religions' philosophy, but the aspect of behavior I'm concerned with the illusory "freedom of choice " addendum that accompanies it. To a certain mindset, the idea is synonymous with the simple experience of buying a car.

the flood, mammoths, elphants, and food.
by Crazyguy inmy question is since it looks as though mammoths were alive after the flood and we know elephants are then how much food was needed to feed just these four animals for the time they were on the ark.
also was the ark, 500 feet long, big enough to hold the amount of food needed for just these 4 animals.. .

We are talking about the Creator! He could do, He could cause, He could change and accomplish anything he want. Most of all his thoughts and ways are higher than ours so we will never understand totally his logic.
Yeah right.
Why the heck did he create mammoths , Neanderthals and a bunch of other creatures and then eliminate them from the face of the earth. Yet preserve their remains with the laws of physics and chemistry for homo sapiens to discover, who in turn are being eliminated every second . Never to see the light of day, or night for that matter, ever again.
All living creatures do is eat, sleep, fight, copulate and perish. In the final equation thats is all the "creator"has programmed them to do.There is no logic in this so we see none. There is no" higher thought " manifesting itself so we don't understand. All the BS in the form of religious reasonings are just that. BS. The idea of a "creator" having a purpose for homo sapiens( which only he understands) is -like all religious thought- brought on by a desire by man to live , beyond the grave. And that is the exact reason for the quote above.

Biblical Prohecies That Came True?
by Viviane inrecently there have been several claims made regarding prophecies that came true.
i've not personally seen a prophecy that i would consider as having come true.
i would consider the following as the requirements to say something is a prophecy and evaluate whether or not it came true:.

Viviane, someone just doesn't get it . Allow me to use an analogy to elucidate.
I bet horses and have for many years. Oftentimes I'd dream of a horse winning in the week and it did. Sometimes two of them in a row and it has happened.
Four years ago, on the night before the KD I had a dream about a horse rearing up in a forest of other animals. I didn't know any of the horses running in the Kentucky Derby. When I checked the entries the next morning, a horse named Animal Kingdom stood out. It won the KD.
The next year ,again the night before the derby, I dreamed of a man eating cookies -two or three of them one at a time. Just after this dream I had a second, of a scary looking woman appearing and putting one hand up as if she was done and the other to her lips as if she would say no more. Interestingly the first dream faded into the background of my memory as the second was the more powerful of the two and scarier. Two of the runners in that years KD were I'll Have Another and Done Talking. Needless to say I'll Have Another won and Done Talking is still running.
This is the first time I've related this to anyone. After the event! And a few years later! Would the gentleman, with the furrowed brow, call this prophesy?
Two weeks ago I had another dream about a great horse. California Chrome! This years KD winner. It's running in the Philly Derby sometime this month- next weekend I think.
The dream went like this. It was a big race. As the horse was going into the starting gate, CC stumbled and fell. Examination of its front left leg showed it had a bullet hole just above its hoof. The race was won by a black horse.
Now I am stating this days before the race. If it does occur that the horse is injured or sick ( I don't hope or wish it does) ,will my dream be a prophetic one? What if it happens in , not the race mentioned but the next one; or, one year from now?
The gentleman with the eyebrows that seem to run into each other with consternation or chagrin or both- I have given dates and time and corroboration ( a future historical reference) of this event , if it ever happens. If it does, it will become a prophesy. If the event doesn't occur ( And I hope it never does), this will be -like the GB's hundred years of - failed prophesy!!
What I've claimed ,about the other two, in paragraphs two and three, cannot be corroborated; hence cannot be a prophesy.

Why do JWs think ISIS is sadisitc but the Israelites under Jah's command loving?
by BU2B ini have heard so many jws complain about isis and how cruel and sadistic and pitiless they are.
all my mind can think about is how their techniques are so similiar to the ancient israelites under joshua that the jws feel are heroes and champions of true worship.. role models for kids.
isis believes that non-believers who do not subscribe to their world view should be killed in brutal ways.

Haven't both religions come out of the same cesspool? A few hundred miles of each other? Nothing changes in that region. Not for the last six thousand years!Guess where ISIS gets their ideas from?

The insensitivity and opportunistic nature of witness at the 9/11 site !
by stuckinarut2 ini saw an online post with pictures of all the witnessing carts all around the 9/11 site during the anniversary of the tragedy.... im appalled at how opportunistic they are, and how they prey on people in a mourning and vulnerable state!.
apparantly they boast of: "there are 65 carts, with 200 witnesses manning the area... and so far 15 new studies started!".

I just saw the tape depicting the horrors of that day with collegues and friends. Got choked up looking at what those innocents went through. Now I'm choked up with anger at these SOB's trying to capitalize on the grief of the stricken ones. I'm not a violent person but... just at this moment I feel ...somebody should take a baseball bat to these bastards!!
