Sorry DJS, when I used the term inappropriate, I should have clarified that it was in the context of JWdom, not the wider context of consenting adults generally.

Just curious about how faithful women are these days. Anybody know?
by Alostpuppydog inso being someone who is not, however still believes around 70% of what the jw's talk about as far as the bible goes, ignoring the fact of no blood transfusions, shunning, etc.

anybody really know how faithful 'worldly' (i use this term lightly 😉) women are these days?

Sam Harris on Trump - The Most Powerful Clown
by cofty inharris is at his incisive best in his latest podcast.. he likens the situation to being on an aeroplane where the pilot has died and somebody with no experience of flying has grabbed the controls.
we should all be committed to his success.
prize for the best line goes to - "caligula with a iphone".. even if you love trump and despise harris you should appreciate his clarity.. waking up with sam harris....

Cold Steel:
That actually would apply more aptly to Hillary than Trump. Both Bill and Hillary made more than twenty excursions on Jeffrey Epstein's infamous Lolita Express (many times independent of each other), which whisked Epstein's guests to his private island, termed "Orgy Island," known for offering underage children (both boys and girls, part of Epstein's private pedophile network). Although Trump allegedly made one excursion on the Express himself, the flight records don't support it and there is no evidence of it.
Hillary is known for being bi-sexual, but later in life she seems to have settled for women and young girls. But despite that warm speech by Bill during the convention, nearly everyone knows Chelsea's father wasn't Bill at all, but Rose Law Firm partner Webb Hubbell. (All one has to do is find pictures of the two on the Internet.)
That's pretty explosive stuff. Do you have any sources\evidence for those claims? -

There is NO difference in the fidelity of JW people and non JW people on average.
I've engaged in inappropriate behaviour with more than willing JW women and I've been given the slow down soldier talk from non JW women. I know that's not "hard" data, but that's my experience and I see no reason why it wouldn't apply generally.
You are likely to encounter more guilt, angst and regret with a JW though.

I'd like to read a book called "The Thousand Year Reign" which would be a dystopian future story of a world in which everything pans out exactly as the GB predict. It could follow a young family as they took part in burying the endless crow pecked dead, the losing of all sexual desire, the constant commands from heaven and of course the fear of sinning and losing even this poor miserable chance at life.
I see it as Hunger Games meets 1984.

UK's NSPCC REJECTS 'mandatory reporting' of suspected child abuse
by darkspilver inlarge article at the top of page 20 in today's - 6th november 2016 - sunday observer, the 'sister' newspaper in the uk of the guardian which only prints monday to saturday.. the national society for the prevention of cruelty to children - nspcc - is the uk's leading children's charity, specialising in child protection and are the only uk children's charity with statutory powers and that means they can take action to safeguard children at risk of abuse.. the headline in the web version is slightly different, but the rest of the article appears to be the same.
nspcc rejects plan for 'mandatory reporting' of suspected child abuse.
the government’s consultation on reporting and acting on child abuse and neglect was launched amid concerns about past abuse in some of the country’s major institutions.

I feel like any chance at preventing child abuse should be taken but I can also see that making it a legal obligation for teachers etc. to report any suspicion could have a lot of negative outcomes.
The individual becomes responsible and not the system. So a teacher could be charged with missing the signs of child abuse whereas it should be the whole system which is held responsible.
Fear of legal consequences could lead to masses of negative reports as teachers report absolutely everything lest they end up being arrested themselves. Parents could end up keeping children home from school because they'd fallen over on their rollerskates and got a black eye.
But, on the other hand, I wouldn't want one single case of child abuse to go uninvestgated. I just don't know what the right solution is.

Is there no love for Rum here?
I found a rum in Cornwall called Three Sails. It was 80% but full of flavour and complexity. Only problem is I've never been able to find it again on subsequent trips.
I am on the lookout for a well priced Goslings Family Reserve Rum. That looks quite special.

1000 Years is Like 1 Day?
by Sorry inanyone else hear about this.
as all j-dubs know, whenever someone complains about how long the "new system" is taking too arrive, they use the excuse that jehovah works on his own time.
quite a few times during the public talks, i've heard speakers say the phrase "1000 years to us is only one day to jehovah" (my parents never stop talking about this).
