I have to echo those who say that they would not play the JW JC game. It is a game where they make all the rules and you are on the defensive the entire time. A no-win situation.
And, the JW "trials in absentia" are absolutely criminal.

i just got off the phone with my mom; i love her now more than i did as a kid.
i have over the years briefly brought up my "doubts" about the teaching and she quickly dismissed what i was saying and said it was not for her to hear and that she believed in jehovah to set all things right.
so since i have made a point to "pacify" her talks when it came to the jws, recently as some of you know i found this site and in addition to what i learned my understanding of the jws and their secrets are even better known.

The WT organization has replaced the natural love that one has for a family member, with the unnatural love of an earthly manmade business. If this was meant to be, if God did approve of this, wouldn't it be a lot easier to shun your beloved family members? The WT organization is criminally responsible before their God for all the pain and suffering inflicted on the countless numbers of friends and families who placed their trust in "God's one true channel to his children here on the earth" and threw away the close bonds of friendship and love of family that was Jesus original message to his followers....to love one another.
I am so sorry kproscts, I hope that your Mom comes around to her senses one day......I have a daughter still in and on a daily basis hope that she sees the light before her entire life is wasted making "God's Organization" richer and more powerful beyond Russell's wildest dreams.

from the former soviet bloc we have headed by steamer hoping to try to get as near to the northern polar region as possible.
we got close enough, around the 75th parallel, but it sure is cold up here!

is harry potter promoting occultism, in your opinion?
i haven't read any of the books, but i saw the first movie.
i do some stuff that would be laballed occult by the wt, yet i didn't see any of that there.

I know in the case of my daughter, Harry Potter is seen as a hero, someone who has conquered evil under the most extreme conditions. Kids need books like these to lift them up and realize that all is not lost even when you are tested to your limits. Sure, there are other books out there that do this same thing, but Rowling is at the top of her game now and the marketing by Scholastic has put the books in the hands of more people than otherwise would not have read them in the first place. I hear that she has written a book (not Harry Potter) between the fourth and fifth editions of Harry Potter. It has not been published yet, but I am looking forward to reading something other than Potter to see what she can do in the adult arena.

my father shunned me and my kids around 1998. i was contacted about two weeks ago, my cousin called me.
she was told by her mother that my father had a pace-maker implanted.
my aunt was the one talking to my dad, and he asked about me and my kids.
If it was me, I would try to call him. If it doesn't work out, at least you have the peace of mind to know you tried.
