i'm being serious, i would like to hear from folks here that support him describe to me how that news conference was absolute brilliance, he answered all the questions, he knows what he is talking about.
just want to compare note with those who aren't his supporters (and have common sense) as you know this forum is here to hear both sides, so, have at it .
.
Lets just say he is not my type
just when you think you've heard it all:.
'look at all these stores and businesses offering price matching!
they're desperate for funds.
The peculiar thing is that JWs say they serve without a focus on dates (like saying they serve out of love) but they always get exited with some sort of sign of the end. And theyvare so happy with the end which means accoito their doctrine that many innocent people will die and be dead in the streets. Weird faith.
today's london times reports on the july ruling of the eu court that forces the organisation country to comply with data protection.. the action originated in finland but the ruling will affect every eu country.
the cult tried unsuccessfully to argue that the notes taken by jws in the door-to-door work were personal and not accessed by the congregation.
the court ruled that they are acting under the auspices of the congregation and therefore they must comply with data-protection laws.. keeping lists of do-not-calls also falls under this ruling.. why does the cult always feel that it is above the law?.
JWs are assigned to a congregation, the congregation assigns the territory for field service. On the map, the so-called not callers are shown. Individuals will have their own list of people not at home and will also make use of those from others. Re-visits are done in pairs so info is shared. WT cannot prove it does not have access to personal notes nor show a firm policy that prevents the public sharing of notes among members. All this is not in line with the new laws. Who knows, first step to stop door to door work.

the finnish government has ruled that the current law allowing jehovah's witnesses to avoid military service, in place for several decades, is discriminatory and contradicts the constitution.. .
in the future, finnish jehovah's witnesses* will be obliged to either serve in the nation's military or perform civil service on the same terms as everyone else, the government ruled, submitting a corresponding proposal to parliament, national broadcaster yle reported.. according to the 1987 law, jehovah's witnesses were not only freed from the military draft, they were freed of any obligation to perform community service as a pacifist alternative, a common option among other young people in finland.
If a Christian conscientiously concludes that he could perform civilian service rather than go to prison
They love playing with words. On the one hand a JW needs to validate if doing civilian service does impact his so-called Christian responsibilities or even prevent me from fulfilling them. On the other hand, you can choose to go to prison. Like going to prison will help one to support his family (a real Christian duty), even going to field service or kingdom hall...…

helena, mont.
— two women who say they were sexually abused as children have alleged that the jehovah's witnesses failed to report their abuser to authorities in montana and instead punished him internally by expelling him from the congregation until he repented the following year.. a trial begins monday in the tiny city of thompson falls for one of dozens of lawsuits filed nationwide in the last decade over claims of child sexual abuse in jehovah's witness congregations.
I am not a lawyer or attorney but if the JW website say they consider child abuse as a crime, then one would expect that it must be reported to the authorities. If a JW says / confesses to an elder that he killed his neighbor, will they not report it? By not reporting crimes they are aware of, they become accomplices. Grrrr
i would like as many people that can, to respond to this appeal as i am sure their are many examples out their that may help lurkers and fence sitters to make a decision on where they stand regarding the "truth".
i look forward to your comments either negative or plus..
funny, If I go with a prostitute, according to Doubter, I just agree with her objectives but not with her beliefs/actions. UN is, according WT, a prostitute. Draw you own conclusion here.
Being a member of a political organization is a no-go situation for a JW. NGO membership with he UN is equal to being a member of the UN political organization. Not the same right as all others (oh how sad, as WT is soooo important) but still a member. Why else apply for a card? One drop of ink in clear water pollutes the entire glas of water.
Becoming a member of the soccer / football club is a no go for a JW as it might seem you support the objectives (competition) of that club. Being a member of the UN has exactly the same impact on people who see this. It means you support the UN, little or big, it does not matter. leaving a house of a single woman in the morning is immediate judgment, no matter if something happened.
point is that WT is obsessed to be recognized as being important. UN membership was one way to get that. Same with the OBSE in Europe. Why join? To feel important. WT is not important in the world at all. Actually nobody cares. If they would stop tomorrow, it would care nobody except for the current members.
Doubter is a typical JW. Blind and follows those who pretend to be angels but are actually wolves disguised as sheep. How can you recognize the wolves? Only if you open your eyes. Do I care if Doubter ever opens his eyes? No. His viewpoints? Useless. Same as JW's. they believe they are important and that their work are of major importance, with global impact etc.
I suggest to just ignore Doubter and treat him as the WT would treat anyone who disagrees with them. He is used to that.
it turns out that on the basis of the book of revelation 14:4 the anointed ones have to be virgins?
how does the governing body explain this?.
next time a JW has pre-marital "engagement", they ca now say: I am still a virgin....like the ones in rev. 14:4
seriously.. https://www.wuv.de/marketing/unternehmer_sichert_sich_marken_der_jehovas.
businessman felt harassed by jws, so he found that word marks "der wachtturm" and "erwachet!
" (german versions of "the watchtower" and "awake!
It is funny and a bit surprised (if all is true) that he was able to register these 2 words as these words are too common to register. There are quite some B&B's in Spain that are called Awake (in Spanish). Same for watchtower. Too generic. The font and symbol can be registered if it is unique enough. I believe anyone can start a magazine and call it AWAKE NOW or WATCHTOWER MESSAGES. Just use different fonts and do not call it a religious magazine. Erotic underwear may be .... :-)
as you probably know "the children act" is a film starring emma thompson as a high court judge deciding whether or not to transfuse a teen jw.
it is due to be on general release in the uk on august 24th 2018. september 14th usa.. its shortened trailer is being advertised in the uk on the biggest independent tv channel - namely itv - at prime time.
just seen it in advertisment breaks between 6pm and 7pm uk time.. thought you might like to know..
The topic becomes complex when a request to refuse transfusion is based on a religious view which is seen as a doctrine. The question is then: has a government the right to overrule you religious conviction. I guess in most countries they do have the right. However, will religion then become subject to a government and gets a flavour of a state controlled religion?
If a refusal is not religious based but based on non-religious arguments, then the issue of freedom to act becomes important. In most countries, euthanasia is not allowed. Refusing blood can be considered a step towards euthanasia, I guess.
If in either case there is a minor at stake, more emotions come in play. And yes, becomes more complex for a judge.
