Christmas is Coming!

so, this will be a time of much confusion.

being a born in, and wanting to celebrate my first christmas is confusing, nerve wracking, and difficult to comprehend.

how have others dealt with there first christmas after leaving?

That is what I would recommend. Either visit others or invite others. Start small and do what you like to do, not out of revenge against WT. Whether Christmas should be celebrated or not, it is a season to spend more time with family, friends and do (more) good to others (your neighbour).

You wonder who should supervise as it is said that Elders nor MS are ever alone with minors......

Each congregation should assign an elder or a ministerial servant to serve as the cleaning coordinator. He is not responsible for performing all of the cleaning work himself, nor does he have the authority to make decisions that should be made by the body of elders

And yes, we, WBTS are not like other mainstream religions, because we do not have a hierarchy in the congregation......

It is expected that the majority of the maintenance and repair work will be done by local volunteers from the congregations using the Kingdom Hall and that the costs for such work will be covered by the congregations

Volunteering is expected. Nice...Of course, do not ask us to pay for repairs.....

TheOldHippie , do not jump to conclusions as I am not from the US and have a pretty good view of what happens in the world. Therefore the question. It is a question, which means I can be wrong.

In countries where there is a NWT, it is an unwritten rule to use the NWT when studying the WT or participating in the WT study etc.

Hi all, just recently I was thinking about the period of my study and eventual baptism as JW. It took many years, I guess in all about 10 years. Various times I stopped the study but after a while it started again. Besides some other reasons, I noticed one thing: the change in bible I used. For the first couple of years, I used the Good News bible (in modern English). I really enjoyed that bible. Then, at some point I decided to only use the NWT (because all JW's do). It seems that from that point, I became more WT focused.

So my question is: would anyone become a baptized JW when he/she only uses another bible, not the NWT?

In other words, if I would have continued to use my own bible, would I ever feel the need to become a baptized JW?
