I strongly believe that the more ex-JW's just show who they are and that they are very capable of running a happy life once they have removed the WT burden from their head and thinking. The WT writers already hide themselves. Let's not do the same. On FB is use my real name. I do not mind to use my name here if I can change my profile.

For all those who talk or meet JW's, tell them that this ARC can be seen as fulfilment of these verses. You can add that God is acting via His servants in the ARC:
13 Let every person be subject to the governingauthorities. For there is no authority except by God’sappointment, 1 and the authorities that exist have been instituted by God. 2 So the person who resistssuch authority 2 resists the ordinance of God, andthose who resist will incur judgment 3 (for rulerscause no fear for good conduct but for bad). Do you desire not to fear authority? Do good and you will receive its commendation 4 because it is God’sservant for your well-being. But be afraid if you dowrong because government 3 does not bear the sword for nothing. It is God’s servant to administerpunishment on the person who does wrong. 5Therefore it is necessary to be in subjection, not onlybecause of the wrath of the authorities 4 but alsobecause of your conscience. 5

My Dad's Funeral
by Disassociated Lady 2 ini had not seen my dad for 15 years because i had left the borg.
(i had been out 26 years but there was a few years when the jws permitted contact with outsiders and then changed their minds again).
they made contact with me again just before he was diagnosed with cancer.

Funerals are indeed for the living. As such, if my wife who is pimi, happens to die before me, I will not organize the funeral at a KH nor will I allow them to speak if they attend the funeral. Probably my only moment to remember her how I want to.

If the Bible is truly the word of God then why are their so many different Translations ?
by smiddy3 innot only are their different translations from different denominations ,like the greek orthodox ,russian orthodox ,roman catholic .various protestant versions and others as well as the nwt of jw`s.. however various denominations print different versions of the bible which fair enough may only be minor differences yet at the same time they are differences to what they previously printed .?.
and some have serious discrepancies .. as if they are trying to get to the true meaning of what god or jesus christ actually said or meant ?.
are they for real ?

faith is not through the written word, manipulation is. Some people start to have faith in a creator when they start to appreciate the creation. People who start to build up faith via one of the many translations, they often become either obsessed / fanatic, confused or indifferent. I know, sound a bit black and white but in reality, I wonder how many people really become the meek and loving neighbor by reading the bible.

As they say with crime case: follow the money. So he receives the money? Who grabs the money?
What I would really like to know, who are the shareholders of the corporation?

The peculiar thing is that JWs say they serve without a focus on dates (like saying they serve out of love) but they always get exited with some sort of sign of the end. And theyvare so happy with the end which means accoito their doctrine that many innocent people will die and be dead in the streets. Weird faith.

EU Court Ruling Against WT on Data-Protection
by cofty intoday's london times reports on the july ruling of the eu court that forces the organisation country to comply with data protection.. the action originated in finland but the ruling will affect every eu country.
the cult tried unsuccessfully to argue that the notes taken by jws in the door-to-door work were personal and not accessed by the congregation.
the court ruled that they are acting under the auspices of the congregation and therefore they must comply with data-protection laws.. keeping lists of do-not-calls also falls under this ruling.. why does the cult always feel that it is above the law?.

JWs are assigned to a congregation, the congregation assigns the territory for field service. On the map, the so-called not callers are shown. Individuals will have their own list of people not at home and will also make use of those from others. Re-visits are done in pairs so info is shared. WT cannot prove it does not have access to personal notes nor show a firm policy that prevents the public sharing of notes among members. All this is not in line with the new laws. Who knows, first step to stop door to door work.

You're in the Army Now: Jehovah's Witnesses No Longer Exempt From Finnish Draft
by Tahoe inhttps://sputniknews.com/europe/201809211068220658-finland-jehovah-witnesses-army/.
the finnish government has ruled that the current law allowing jehovah's witnesses to avoid military service, in place for several decades, is discriminatory and contradicts the constitution.. .
in the future, finnish jehovah's witnesses* will be obliged to either serve in the nation's military or perform civil service on the same terms as everyone else, the government ruled, submitting a corresponding proposal to parliament, national broadcaster yle reported.. according to the 1987 law, jehovah's witnesses were not only freed from the military draft, they were freed of any obligation to perform community service as a pacifist alternative, a common option among other young people in finland.

If a Christian conscientiously concludes that he could perform civilian service rather than go to prison
They love playing with words. On the one hand a JW needs to validate if doing civilian service does impact his so-called Christian responsibilities or even prevent me from fulfilling them. On the other hand, you can choose to go to prison. Like going to prison will help one to support his family (a real Christian duty), even going to field service or kingdom hall...…
