One day assemblies
by Sour Grapes inthis may have been discussed before.
the costs for using the assembly hall for a one day last saturday was $12,000 with another assembly for the other half of the circuit on sunday, which will ring up another $12,000.
if the assembly was for two days the friends might roll their eyes if it were announced the costs for the two days was $24,000.

Romeoville assembly in Chicago built around 1988-1990. Worked on it for two years
Paid for in a few years by the brothers.
They have made millions on that one in the last 25 years.

WTF
$12000 to $22000 a day. Most of the assembly halls have no mortgages on it, they are paid for already.
So how in the hell can it cost that kind of money when the society provides nothing.
They pay no taxes on the buildings, all the work is done by volunteers, no food, the only thing is water at drinking fountains, toilets being flushed, toilet paper and electricity.
Thieves, that's what they are.

The society can do no wrong and since it's coming from GB Jehovah is backing them up.
Jehovah knows what is doing...check his record of the last 140 years dealing the people he picked.
And that's what every JW verbally has to confess....down deep in their hearts they know it"s a load of crap. .

CO Comes Up With A New Way To Be Judgemental...
by JW_Rogue inat the latest co visit something very strange happened.
during the meeting with the elders and servants he passed out a copy of a hypothetical publisher card and asked us what we could learn from it.
upon receiving it i saw that the average hours were pretty good, it had return visits and quite a few bible studies.

Nothing new...it's been going on for decades. Was an elder for 21 years and when i look back at those meetings with the CO it was disgusting how some very good brothers, hard working brothers that were struggling in providing for their families and were always willing to help out on weekends when they were needed for their skills at the KH, yet they used to be looked down by others just because they were only turning in 5 hours a month,
They were not exemplary in the congregation and were not even able to carry the mikes.
Sick organization or should i say a sick cult.

Just found out that my ex father in law,81 years old, still an elder in the congregation and has been a witness for 60 years, a pillar in the organization is finally researching some " apostate" literature and books.
Just blew my mind when i heard that but finally many are realizing that the organization and teachings are nothing but a load of crap. Failed prophecies and promises and money making business like the rest of the religions.

Tired of the truth... Tired of doubting
by Deltawave ini'm reaching out here, i've known ttatt for about 3-4 years now.
sadly when i first grasped it i had a total mental breakdown as i was a hard core firm to the core pioneer and 110% believer of my faith.!
now nearly 2years on after my breakdown i still have to attend to please my jw wife.

Once you realize it's not the truth it's time for you to make your move and find a way to get out. You will go nuts trying to stick around going to meetings and trying to "fake it" in order to please the wife and others. There is a better life out there and that's leaving the organization and start a new life, the sooner the better.
I was in the "truth"for 32 years, married for 26 years, an elder for 21 years, very active as a family but once i started having doubts in 2005 and doing research about the watchtower, realized it was nothing but a dangerous cult that has destroyed lives since 1870 i could not sit a meetings and going out in service any longer.
My ex wife turned me in to the elders for having doubts and speaking against the " anointed ones ".
Before the whole body of elders i denied it all and never got DF. My marriage fell apart and eventually i slowly faded. Two of my kids also pulled away.
I was 57 when i left, never regretted it, found a wonderful woman that i live with and life is GOOD.
Don't wait any longer, the sooner the better and stop pleasing others, take care of yourself.

Have been there and ended in divorce after 26 years of marriage.Don't have the answer for your situation but keep on showing her that you are a very happy individual without the FU&^*&^ cult.
Just be kind and loving to her and that's all you can do. Brainwashing sucks.

The elders of the 1980s are now in their 60s and 70s
by truthseeker inhaving just come back from the uk and spoke with some witnesses to find out how my old congregation is doing, i realized i am now the age that my elders were when i was a kid.
and i wonder what the elders who are now in their 60s and 70s are thinking when they look in the mirror and an old face looks back at them.
many of the elders in my old hall are now retired.

They will tell you they believe in your face but down deep they realize they will die like the rest of the old timers and never see " Paradise " and it's been a joke and a waste of their life.
Anyone with a brain can put 2 and 2 together and has to realize that the watchtower has been nothing but a scam just like all religions.
