  In what year was the first Memorial held?

  i have been looking everywhere i can think of to find out which president or what year the watchtower society first celebrated the memorial, or the lord's evening meal with no success.. does anyone know the answer?.

  Did CT Russell use the term "Light" in his ministry?

  i mean it in the sense of: "light" = "truth" = "knowledge".

  as the wtbts uses it in "we have received 'new light'...".

  if anyone knows of one or two specific instances, and maybe where they can be found, i would appreciate it.. blondie?

  Reviling of Rebels

  this past sunday at our meeting, the talk was focused on "rebelion".

  as usual, doctored-up scriptures were plucked out of context from the nwt so that "rebels worldwide" were slandered, actually reviled.

  the concept of defiance of authority or resistance to government or to the payment of taxes was also ridiculed and discouraged.

  to active jws who visit this site, read the posts, and think about the subjects being discussed: i give my deepest respect and honor.

  i know how very difficult it is, especially if you are born and raised.

  the wts makes it a top priority, with no expense seemingly spared, to make it impossible for you to find out that there is someone behind the curtain.
