my convos are now beyond my husband amd with my study sisters. they have embraced my questions. they said hey wished more people had questions....we shall see.

i took the approach of telling them that i know longer want to book study, but have a list of topics that i want supported by the bible only... they agreed. quite happilly. we had quite the conversation today. one of them was very shocked by stuff I read from old wt. she is going to start her own research, she said.

My JW Mom came for an impromptu visit yesterday. It went great! :)

it is so nice to start actually believing that my mom wants to have a relationship with me and my kids again.

there was awhile, where it was in question, and she wasn't sure if she was supposed to associate with us or not.

i think the stand that my sister has taken against me, is actually causing my mom to start doubting whether it is a good idea to follow this cruel example of "love" as defined by the watchtower.

jehovah's witnesses will hand over their secret rule book to the minister of justice, anna-maja henriksson, and the minister of the interior, paivi rasanen.

An increase in security at this summer's conventions??

we've heard from friends in two separate congregations in our city that convention security will be tight.. the brothers made announcements this week and reminded everyone to be sure to wear their name badges.

those that don't may be questioned and have their belongings searched.

the same will be happen to anyone arriving during the sessions.

i think I read a thread where someone had said that some of the venues requore security beyond the brothers. i may be wrong. i do think some also said some are in unsafe areas?

One thing about this site that bothers me

the constant references to 'window washers' as something derogatory.. i understand the context of it-that most jws are uneducated, and unqualified to do much more.

but sometimes the references seem snobbish, almost mean-spirited.

one poster, on another thread, essentially referred to window washers as 'losers'.

i have to say that the kh i go to seems to have many middle class with good jobs, very nice homes, and several of them have pricier cars likeloaded camaros and cadillacs. we do live in a yuppier area so i am sure that makes a difference as well. with that said, some of them have those blue collar jobs and are doing well.

i have caught myself being a job snob before...not here but in life...and then catch myself and remind myself that i was once the_____ and we need all these roles
