  always the fashionista amongst the governing body members, mr. stephen lett recently showed us how even an older man can display a certain swagger, a certain je nesais quoi that says, "i'm one of the anointed, and you're not!".

  he does this in so many ways, but the one i want to draw our attention to is the way he rocked the theocratic fashion world with his wearing of a very manly pinkie ring in a recent wtbts video.. - -.

  I have only attended mostly black and hispanic congregations and I agree with what you have said. Also, there is the telling publication of old that not only said that black witnesses would turn white but that one brother did just that after praying to jehovah earnestly if that doesn't prove the sickness in their made up experiences, I don't know what will. Oh ya...my bad...that's "old light"

  Drama friday 2014 DC

  anyone seen the drama on friday ?.

  it was about a pioneer couple, when the husband, also an elder, lost his job, and borrowed money from a fellwo elder, who apparently was considered weatlthy.. the main lesson of the drama was quite ok, even though a bit overdone, touching on the issue of gossip and false assumptions.. but there were at least two subtle lessons, whitch were quite disturbing:.

  1) no matter what happens, remain pioneering.

  Lol yes, I saw that...I also liked the overall ASSuption lesson (ASSuME= making an ASS out of U and ME) I have never cared much for gossipers...However I also caught the Imbedded messages. That is the scary part. The wtbts is using loaded language that is producing subliminal messages of a sort...using certain gestures, and strategic pauses and phrases during talks. Go ahead...really pay attention to all of these things.

  I know 2 of the Elders on the Ray Franz JC

  when i read coc, i was stunned that the 2 elders (theotis french & rob dibble) were on ray franz judcial committee.

  i have known these men for over 20 years having done rbc and convention work with them.

  they are still elders today which means they were in their early 30's(which is unheard of for a case of this importance to have inexperienced elders to sit on) on this committee.. without revealing myself, i have never tried(but have wanted to), ask them about their on having to judge a former gb member.. then out of the blue, about a year ago, i was mentioning how hard it is trying to get younger ones to volunteer to one of these elders, and he says"this is nothing compared to to sitting on the committee that had to disfellowship ray franz".

  yes, the jws continue to bleed their young ones, so far in my local kh 3 were dfd, one girl just turned 18 this month and packed her bags and said goodbye to the cult and her cultish parents, another young 18 year old man decided to have a non-jw girlfriend and decided to stop attending and is no longer a witness.

  they continue to leave and wt leaders dont give a damn.

  they dont do anything to help kids be successful and live a healthy life.. .

  There is definitely truth to what rjharris has said...The majority of images of historic bible figures are shown as white...designed by white men. Even back in the day the dubs said black people would turn white in the new system...r is right.

  when the org lost the candace conti case, the court ordered (pending the appeal) that the org would have to deposit several million$ as security.

  the puzzling thing is, the org got a bond company to put up the millions, thereby incurring heavy interest charges.

  i've always wondered, 'why?????????'.

  before i start, i'm not a wt apologist and i am certainly not trying to minimise sex abuse.

  i was looking at the amount of sex abuse cases in light of witness population.

  just say wt ended up on paying out on 30,000 individual abuse cases.
