New Appointments Are Very Fast & All On The CO
by baldeagle inthe week of september 15, 2014 was the congregations cos visit.
the midweek meeting was on tuesday, a very general bland talk was given by the co. in the past we would have had the elders & servants meeting on thursday night, and the other congregation meeting on friday.
as you know the friday meeting is no more.

Hold on, the branch office is involved in all of this prior to the CO visiting the Congregation. At least that is what I was told by an elder in my congregation. You see, accordint to him, the elders have to meet 1 month prior to the visit to see who would qualify to be an elder or a MS. They send a form to the branch office making a recommendation of a brother. The branch office looks at the records of that brother. If the branch office is satisfied, it sends the CO the approval. Now when the CO comes to the congregation, he has to see and work with the brother. Now the CO Can make the appointment or not based on his own observations of the brother.
That's the proccess according to this elder.

for me sparrowdown is a playful reference to matt 10:29 and the title of the movie black hawk down.. matt 10:29 was my go-to scrip to "prove" that god cares about us as individuals.

jesus told them to partake even thought they were not anointed with holy spirit yet.
they were anointed at pentecost.... and judas was present too according to luke 22:21.. watchtower says that luke's chronological order is wrong.

This is what they say according to Insight on the Scriptures under Judas:
"Immediately Judas left the group. A comparison of Matthew 26:20-29 with John 13:21-30 indicates that he departed before Jesus instituted the celebration of the Lord’s Evening Meal. Luke’s presentation of this incident evidently is not in strict chronological order, for Judas had definitely left by the time Christ commended the group for having stuck with him; that would not fit Judas, nor would he have been taken into the “covenant . . . for a kingdom.”— Lu 22:19-30 ."
So, whom should I believe? Luke was a Holy Spirit inspired writer. FDS is Holy Spirit guided ( which SO many times that spirit has been proven wrong)
