i am currently in a discussion with a jw about the governing body.. i have read alot of articles regarding it, however whenever i bring up what i have read, i am refuted with scripture, such as acts 15, where they say there was a governing body, who sent out elders and men etc.. does anyone have a website that i may not know of, that has answers to what they refute with?

or any help here or good thought provoking questions to respond with would be much appreciated.. thank you kindly.

Ask them who was the "faithful and discreet slave" back then. They might say that the GB acts talk about.

Tell them that there was no faithful and discreet slave in the first century. That whatever they did back then had no relevance cause Jesus didn't appointed them. Jesus had to wait till 1919 to appoint Rutherford and colleagues as the faithful and discreet slave (which they didn't know anything about, neither they didn't know that Jesus came in 1914 and they died without knowing it). And the GB was established till 1971.

They had to cherry pick a scripture to back up what they say. But look carefully in their publications, you will find "The Truth About The Truth" there.

We need another EX-GB book. Ray Franz book is excellent. I wonder if all the procedures in the GB are still the same. If not, what have changed? Who gives them the new light to publish? We know is not the holy spirit. Where do they get the crazy ideas from?

Is there something in the Bible that says that a reproved brother can't give a comment or prayer at meetings?

I know you fellow apostate brothers would give me an answer for that one, specially elders.
