yeah - that's why I said "how the JWs dealt with it" - it's not just the face-to-face meetings but also by the very serious 'conflict-of-interest' issues that where revealed too.

So they're still intending to investigate abuse accusations internally without reporting them to the authorities. What does it take to get through to these people?

In this case that they're commenting on, the perpetrator was known and had been dealt with by the authorities. The main issue that appears to have picked up is how the JWs dealt with it after (the face-to-face JC meetings).

Remember the - reverse - situation happens too:

I don't think the above video was 'technically' part of the convention programme - because once the song has finished it seems to go into another song? just before the video cuts out?

It's all an (unintended?) consequence of having the lyrics on the screen (no songbook/tablet to hold) so your hands are 'free' and of course the more 'up-beat' music they recently introduced.... this is what happens...

having just watched john cedars latest youtube video i am appalled that jws do not make up part of the investigation into institutions that have failed to protect children from sexual abuse.. i have emailed and begged them to reevaluate their decision.. if anyone else wants to do so, this is the email i used, i don't know if it's the right one, it's on their website.. Thanks - interesting - but as per oppostate's comments.....

The ancient Canaanites, who according to the Bible were commanded to be exterminated, did not die out, but lived on to become modern-day Lebanese, according to the first study to analyse their DNA.

And wasn't that actually the WHOLE point? - they were commanded to be wiped out but never where completely - Judges 3: 1 & 2

In fact couldn't the WT could use this DNA-thingy to 'prove' the above account?
