Simon: Don't post this shit on here again. JWs have the right to worship in peace in their own Kingdom Halls without harassment or threats. At some point, some idiot is going to go too far and hurt someone. There was someone on here last week posting videos who obviously has serious mental health issues - applauding this is dangerous.
None of this convinces anyone, it just reinforces everything that they have been told about people who leave.
Aggressive activism doesn't work. It guarantees that you are viewed as a nutty fringe bunch and nothing more.

hey folks, so i made this video as a response to some of the youtube apostates about my vast apostate army recruitment video.

i'm getting overwhelming comments and messages regarding it and a couple people have called it "the apostate manifesto".

i figured i'd post it here for everyone to check out, i thought you all might enjoy it.

The idea seems to have originated around eight years ago.

I believe the date - November 5 - is tied in with the video below.

In addition, the original idea (?) appears to have also included trying to get as many ex/former-JWs to attend the Sunday public meeting at KHs around the world on this one day, as a passive display of the 'vast' number of ex-JWs.

I think that 2017 is the first year that November 5 has fallen on a Sunday since 2006.

South Ossetia declares Jehovah’s Witnesses ‘extremists

Apparently South Ossetia is only recognized by four UN countries - Nauru, Nicaragua, Russia and Venezuela.

It would seem that if any organization/country dealt directly with, or had direct dialogue with, South Ossetia, they would be lending a certain amount of legitimacy to this breakaway state.

The JW 2017 Yearbook does not list 'South Ossetia' as a country/land in the Annual Report.

Georgia, from whom South Ossetia is claiming independance, was the featured country in the JW 2017 Yearbook. Though the report doesn't appear to include anything on SO?

The map of Georgia that the Yearbook uses clearly shows South Ossetia as being part of Georgia.

Since Some Were Asking About The Vast Apostate Army...

hey everyone, a couple people were asking about the november 5th, 2017 reference in the last hitler as the leader of the watchtower parody video so i figured i'd swing by and post a link to the latest recruitment video for the vast apostate army.. all my other videos are for my daughter and to help her if she ever questions religion (or jws specifically), this one however is for me.

i always get a really big grin on my face when dustin talks about the vast apostate army and i really just want to set him off for a few videos.

slimboyfat: I like this 2017 idea. The Witnesses have set lots of dates for the end themselves, so it's poetic justice to set one for them. And because we can be active about it, and not just sit around 'waiting for Jehovah to act' we can contribute to making it a self-fulfilling prophecy. Let's see if it builds momentum. One thing's for sure, it's got a better chance than any prediction the Watchtower ever made.

flipper: The WT society and Jehovah's Witnesses are so superstitious your ploy on Nov. 5th, 2017 may just intimidate them to an extent. Even if SOME of them are intimidated, it will be a success. And I think that something is in the wind in the next couple of years from what I understand so if a major scandal breaks out BEFORE 2017 and hits the news media - then many JW's will be ripe for the picking. Doubting Bro: I thought the funds on deposit arrangement was done away with when they told the local congregations that should only keep 5k in their accounts and forward the rest to the WTS?

Effectively, yes.

It appears though not all congregations have dealt with it - it is poosible that some may have forgotten they even had funds-on-deposit (for example, maybe this could have happened if congregations have merged).

The OP letter seems to be 'formal' notification that the arrangment is ending.

If the WT does not hear back, they will send the money back automatically to the congregation's bank account.

What should be done with excess congregation funds that are currently being held or that may accumulate in the future?
The elders of congregations having funds on deposit with the branch office should review the balance of such funds and decide if these can be donated in full or in part to the worldwide work and/or Kingdom Hall and Assembly Hall construction worldwide, particularly if these funds were being saved for a future construction project. Periodically, the body of elders may also review the balance of the congregation funds to determine if surplus cash could be sent to the branch office as a donation. The recommendation for such a donation should be presented to the congregation as a one-time resolution. When this resolution is approved by the congregation, the one-time donation to the worldwide work or to Kingdom Hall and Assembly Hall construction worldwide may be added to the monthly resolved amounts sent to the branch office.

Randy Wall, a real estate agent was "disfellowshipped" from the Highwood Congregation for being drunk on two occasions and allegedly verbally abusing his wife.
As a result, he says his clients refused to do further business with him, so he argued his property and civil rights were affected.

I think it's problematic to try and make it into a business-loss argument for two reasons:
First, you simply can't legislate for people to do business with you - they have the right to make their own choices. The only thing that would cover it would be existing breach-of-contract law if someone broke off a business arrangement that was committed to.
Second, I think most people should be aware that the rules within the group are rather strict for people who leave. So if a business depends on the owner being a member of a religious group (which sounds like "affinity marketing") then it should be planned for to reduce that dependency because, well, see the above - there is no way to force people to stay customers and it's a business risk.
It's like the reverse of the gay-wedding-cake situation ... imaging the religious couple decide they don't want to buy a cake from a baker who they disapprove of for some reason. Should they be compelled to buy the cake?
Seriously, it's one thing to complain that something is unfair and that the WTS have too much power and negatively impact people's lives, of course it is and they do. But what is the goal? What should be changed and how? What is the law that can be passed to prevent it? I would press a button and ban religion if I could, but that ain't gonna happen - assume that freedom of religion is not going anywhere, what's the outcome?
