  don't know how these folks could be dubs and go to another church without getting caught by some busybody in dubland,.

  The author just refers to JWs as they are the only Christians he knew of who didn't celebrate Christmas - he mentions it as he was surprised that this non-JW couple, attending his Mennonite church, also did not 'celebrate' Christmas.
  

  Aside from meeting Jehovah’s Witnesses, I had never encountered Christians who did not celebrate Christmas.

  Actually they did, but in a much more non-commericalised, more religious way - that was the point of the article - it lead the author to re-evaluate his view of Christmas too.

  yet, it cavalierly refuses to acknowledge the consequences of these losses and the validity of the court's orders requiring it to produce documents in response to request number 12. and, in a further act of defiance, watchtower informed the court that it would not comply with the march 25, 2016 order 39 requiring it to produce documents responsive to request number 12. the court, following lopez, supra, 246 cal.app.4th 566, as an incremental step toward terminating sanctions if watchtower persists in its unjustified conduct, imposed monetary sanctions.

  Yeah, seems interesting, though the ex-jw community seems to be pretty good at distributing, and keeping online, various leaked info.

  The real benefit though may be in encouraging new leaks via their submission process.

Whether a Christian or his family pursues treatment from psychiatrists, psychologists, or therapists is a personal decision. An elder should not assume the responsibility of recommending a specific practitioner or facility. He may draw attention to or discuss material in the publications that provides cautions regarding therapies that may conflict with Bible principles. (w88 10/15 pp.28-29; w82 6/15 pp.25-29; w75 pp.255-256) While participating in group therapy by a professional therapist is a matter for personal decision, there could be a revealing of confidential facts about other members of the Christian congregation during such sessions if a Christian does not exercise discretion.
