Inside the JW HQ Warwick, NY
by baldeagle inhere is a short 2-minute video from fox 5 news reviewing the new jw hq in warwick, ny.. the first thing the jw spokesperson says is, “our primary purpose is not to convert, but to give people an opportunity to see what the bible has to say.”.
next the reporter says, “the new world headquarters, which opened last year, is home to about 800 jehovah's witnesses.”.
it seems to me that 800 is an extremely low number since the glory days in brooklyn.

WTBTS and the CCJW ?
by Crazyguy inapparently they made this new corporation called the christian congregation of jehovah’s witnesses in the year 2001. this is the religious side of the cult and wtbts is the printing side and probably the money side.
since the gb think they are of the ccjw and have even stated their non affiliation with the wt is their a way that jws can use this to their advantage, maybe during a jc etc.?
i for example was baptized before 2000 so with the new corporation formed and the gb going to that side what could be argued during a jc?

John Davis: CCJW is used only in the US. CCJW is used by the US Branch service department as their corporate portion. In other countries, it would be a different corporation, such as in Britain it is the International Bible Student's Association.
?
Please explain why this 'Britain' letter was sent out last month using "CCJW" letter heading:
https://www.reddit.com/r/exjw/comments/7addba/october_31_2017_to_all_congregations_re_new/
Out of interest, can you provide an example of a letter using the "IBSA" letter heading? It would be interesting to see.
There is also this letter: Watchtower and Tract Society of Britain: Letter, August 12, 2011, TO ALL BODIES OF ELDERS, Re: Christian Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses

When the “blood fractions” was available for any pacient as an alternative treatment?
by RodrigoGuerreiro insorry if my topic question was difficult to understand (english is not my native language).
i will like to know the year when the so called “blood fractions” was available as an alternative to a whole blood transfusion.
my question is triggered by the curiosity about how long jw died or put their life at risk, refusing that type of treatment before the year 2000 (when the “new light” allowed that type of treatment).. thank you.

Remember, in terms purely of 'blood fractions', there was this, from 1958.
There's more, but others can answer better than me.
I believe this QfR allowed for JWs to use Factor VIII?

Questions From Readers: Are we to consider the injection of serums such as diphtheria toxin antitoxin and blood fractions such as gamma globulin into the blood stream, for the purpose of building up resistance to disease by means of antibodies, the same as the drinking of blood or the taking of blood or blood plasma by means of transfusion? No, it does not seem necessary that we put the two in the same category, although we have done so in times past. Each time the prohibition of blood is mentioned in the Scriptures it is in connection with taking it as food, and so it is as a nutrient that we are concerned with in its being forbidden. Thus when mankind for the first time was permitted to eat the flesh of animals, at the time of the restatement of the procreation mandate to the Deluge survivors, blood was specifically forbidden. (Gen. 9:3, 4) In the law of Moses blood was forbidden as food, and therefore we repeatedly find it linked with fat as things not to be eaten. (Lev. 3:17; 7:22-27) And so also in the days of the apostles; it was in connection with eating meat sacrificed to idols that the eating of strangled animals and blood was forbidden.—Acts 15:20, 29.
The injection of antibodies into the blood in a vehicle of blood serum or the use of blood fractions to create such antibodies is not the same as taking blood, either by mouth or by transfusion, as a nutrient to build up the body’s vital forces. While God did not intend for man to contaminate his blood stream by vaccines, serums or blood fractions, doing so does not seem to be included in God’s expressed will forbidding blood as food. It would therefore be a matter of individual judgment whether one accepted such types of medication or not.

I believe it used to be 2 new thread topics and 20 posts within any 24 hour period
Although I think that remains 'in principle' - the forum now takes into account the speed of your posts.
So it is best to wait as long as possible between new topics, which I believe has the strictest 'time' criteria applied to it.
If you post two new topics close together, the first will appear, but the second will be queued for up to 24 hours, but you can probably wait 12 hours and post a third new topic which gets to appear straight-away, before the second topic that was posted earlier gets to appear
With posts, just try not to post too quickly one after the other.
I think I'm on half-rations though - 1 new topic and 10 posts allowed per 24 hour period, and my 'up-votes' don't appear to be counted either (they disappear when I check back, including on other devices)

"WATCHTOWER BIBLE SCHOOL OF GILEAD" FOREIGN MISSIONARY SPIES
Over the decades, there have been a smattering of media articles reporting various deportations of WatchTower Society Missionaries from countries whose U.S.A.-opposed governments had claimed that such Jehovah's Witness Missionaries had been discovered to have been connected with the C.I.A. Nearly everyone has always dismissed such claims as ludicrous given the Jehovah's Witnesses own well-publicized issues with the Government of the United States, and the widespread impression that Jehovah's Witnesses would never ever partner with a governmental entity to further its own goals. However, given that the WatchTower Society was only recently discovered to have officially affiliated itself in 1992 with the United Nations, an organization which the JWs had strongly condemned for decades, the details of a 1983 deportation of a Jehovah's Witness from the U.S.S.R. may indicate that such previous assessments should not have been made so hastily.
Sometime in 1981, an American Jehovah's Witness, named Sue Pamela Carne, described as "in her 20s", arrived in Moscow, Russia, to work as a "governess" for an unidentified "American Diplomat". In 1982, Sue P. Carne was assigned by the American Embassy to work for William G. Plunkert, who may have replaced the person to whom Carne had previously been assigned. Plunkert has been identified as the then Second Secretary of the Political Section at the American Embassy, which in turn supposedly identifies Plunkert as a C.I.A. operative. By only May 1983, possibly in less than two years, the Russian K.G.B. had already gathered enough intelligence on Sue Carne sufficient to arrest and deport her out of the country.
According to Associated Press reports, Sue Carne was accused of organizing and training a "cell" of Jehovah's Witnesses in the city of Kalinin, which is about 90 miles northwest of Moscow. (Clint Eastwood's 1982 movie FIREFOX will give readers a good feel for what life and travel was like in and around Moscow during this time period.) Soviet officials claimed that Carne had organized, trained, and funded the "cell" while using the alias "Paula Combs". "Paula Combs" had posed in Kalinin as a Russian-language student studying at Moscow's Pushkin Institute. Carne/Combs supposedly supplied the Kalinin group of JWs with banned WatchTower literature, typewriters, tape recorders, and other duplicating equipment, along with funds used to construct a headquarters building -- all of which may indicate that the Kalinin group may have been more than just a local operation.
If one wants to pursue the theory that Sue Pamela Carne was simply a young, single American female who was coincidentally an extremely devout Jehovah's Witness, who wanted the adventure of moving to a then despotic communist country where practicing her own WatchTower religion was outlawed, in order to eek out a living as a "governess", then one must first explain how Carne obtained the necessary diplomatic "security clearances" required for her to be hired and sent to an enemy foreign country to live with and work for a high level C.I.A. operative. In all likelihood, simply being a "Jehovah's Witness" would normally have been an automatic disqualifier.
Then there are questions as to how a "governess" was able to accomplish so much, in so short a period of time, seemingly indicating that Carne had hit the Russian ground running. Her quick accomplishments would seem to indicate that Carne was not only an extraordinary individual with extraordinary intelligence and abilities, but she also would seem to have needed special training in multiple unrelated but coordinated areas that neither the C.I.A. nor the WatchTower Society could have provided individually. It also would seem that Carne's quick accomplishments would have required the support and cooperation of quite a pre-established network both inside and outside the American Embassy. And, if the K.G.B.'s accusations pointed in the right direction, the even better question is whether Carne was a C.I.A.-trained WatchTower operative, or was Carne a WatchTower-trained C.I.A. operative? And, if either the former or latter is true, in how many other "enemy countries" over the decades has the C.I.A. actively promoted and furthered the WatchTower religion as one of its multiple avenues of weakening those countries' governments and social systems?http://jwdivorces.bravehost.com/spies2.html
