Gas Pump "Witnessing"....Is this a thing?

i've seen this twice now within a month.

a car group hanging out at a gas station.

one of the cult members jumps outs of their car and runs up to a "worldly" gas pumper, arm stretched out, tract in hand, and here comes the juvenile at best question.

I distinctly remember watching a widow repeatedly leave the KH in tears because of the f'ed up songs - no matter at the beginning, middle, or end of the meeting.

A deliberate cult move. (The lead cult elder always had a satisfied look on his face when she teared up.)

Where did Lett say that Abel witnessed his own birth? I could not find that statement.

Quote was:

Adam and Eve told him about God's promises when they were expelled from the Garden. Abel could see God's word had come true. Jehovah told Eve her labor pain would increase Abel could see Jehovah's promise came true when Even bore children.

The Bible explicitly gives the order of Adam having intercourse (only twice - doesn't explain Abel's conception - why state intercourse to procreate Cain, and intercourse to procreate Seth, but not Abel) with Eve, and their first three children: Cain, Abel, and Seth.

Nowhere is there any indication of children having been born between Abel and Seth.

Eve proclaimed that Seth was a replacement for her dead son Abel. (Gen 4:25)

If Seth were a replacement for Abel, and there are no recorded children between those two, then how did Abel witness Eve's agony of childbirth?

What were Satan and his demons "doing" up in heaven, before being "cast down" in 1914?

i was just thinking about how the wts has been spouting off for years that satan and his demons were cast down to the vicinity of the earth in 1914, but really, when you think about it, what was the difference before 1914 or after 1914?.

its not like satan and his demons did not have access to the earth.

satan and his demons always were messing with earth.

My experience with the people in my hall

i've been awake now for about 6 months i'd guess and a member here for a couple of weeks.

it's been eye opening to read other peoples experiences on here and i appreciate all of you.

i've noticed in many, seemingly most, of your comments that you were not treated well at your hall or you have had very negative experiences in the "org" so i thought i'd like to share mine.. in all my time as a jw i have to say for the most part i always loved the people.

The feeling of love was overwhelming and it really changed me as a person and at the time really made me feel like this was God's love in action. Not sure how to feel about it now, but I still think back on that time with joy and appreciation.

There can be a genuine emotional feeling of love. However, my analysis is that this is a feeling of emotion. Do you tear up at movies. I do, all the time. I tear up with many songs sung at the KH.

WT is A MASTER at playing on emotion - it is the modus operandi of the organization. Every message from the GB ends with: "The GB loves you very much." Really? If they love every individual very much, should they not, at the least, respond to questions from those loved ones? (Give it a try.)

Why people join cults

Students are not greater than their teacher. But the student who is fully trained will become like the teacher.

It was Jesus himself who stated this. Therefore, those claiming to be Christ himself's "brothers," directly appointed by Jehovah God himself, ought to have their shit together, not shitting on the rest of humanity, and directly calling them "pieces of garbage."

And, as with all other alleged "JW apologists," you refuse to answer the most basic question:

"How did Abel witness his own birth?" as indicated by your "glorious one" (2 Pet. 2:10), Stephen Lett.

Do you really think that using the illustration of going down in an elevator is an undesirable thing is sound advice?

Yup, elevators are designed to go UP or DOWN.

The crowds were astounded by Jesus' teaching because of its quality, not because he was a buffoon. Of all of JW's, the GB should be "fully trained," and like Jesus, should they not?

At the moment of his thievery he was an atheist.
