the funniest i have seen since ages..... http://www.forevereating.com.
In all honesty, being a multi-decade JW, attended Pioneer School, etc. (not of the elite, but respected), the vast majority (90 + %) of my CO's were self-sacrificing men with, not just good, but great, hearts.
I would say that it is only in the last 10-15 years that young pups with a need for power have become the modern-day CO.

Okay.
Good idea. Your never know what one might find in a "worldly" cookbook.
(If a contributor is DF'd/DA'd must they notify the webmaster and have that recipe marked as "temporarily unavailable?")
the first edition of the watchtower magazine, july 1879, made the following comment on page 5 regarding how "soon" the end of this system will come:.
exactly 136 years later the latest edition of the watchtower magazine, july 2015, (paragraph 3) made the following comment on page 15 regarding how "soon" the end of this system will come:.
jehovah's witnesses ... proclaimers of "soon, very soon" since 1879.. .

He also can't do anything that could be construed as worshipping anything man-made, such as an American flag, he said, so he also declines to take part in flag-raising ceremonies at the fire station.
An employer, for example, may ask an employee to raise or lower a flag displayed at a building. Whether an individual would do so or not depends on his personal view of the circumstances. If raising or lowering the flag is part of a special ceremony, with people standing at attention or saluting the flag, then performing this act amounts to sharing in the ceremony.
On the other hand, if no ceremony accompanies the raising or lowering of the flag, then these actions constitute nothing more than performing such tasks as preparing the building for use, unlocking and locking the doors, and opening and closing the windows. In such instances, the flag is simply an emblem of the State, and raising or lowering it among other routine tasks is a matter for personal decision based on the dictates of one’s Bible-trained conscience

www.newscientiat.com there goes the argument gay men can't have kids.
where are you going to get the bodies to attach the heads to?
I know of a few leaders of a religious cult that could use some new brains !
I agree. There are 7 bodies available.
Even if it's not a success - it would also not be a failure.
i've been lurking for about 3 months now and thought i'd better finally sign up.
you have all been an immense help to me as i have come to realize that this isn't the truth so i want to say a great big thank you!
what a crazy, emotional ride it is to finally face the truth about the doubts that i have carried for many years.
I know this is part of the process and you have all gone through it... but it hurts so bad.
For everyone who awakens, there is an accompanying pain.
The pain of:
- How could we be so naive for so long?
- How badly have I wrongly treated others?
- Whom will we lose?
- If not WTS, then whom?
Based on my experience, I would put the awakening process to take between 6 months and 12 months.
However, it is like a lengthy first marriage that ends/has ended. It will still always be part of your psyche.
i'm not an expert but that is my understanding of this: .
opinion filed.. (signed published) the judgment against defendants on the negligence count is affirmed.
the judgment against watchtower on the cause of action for punitive damages is reversed with directions to enter judgment for watchtower on punitive damages.
WT elders are like clergy and have the same confidentiality privileges as Catholic priests regarding confidential communications by parishioners.
An idiotic American idea.
They do owe Candace $7 million in compensatory damages. That was upheld.
If it were announced today that Candace was awarded $7 million in compensatory damages, would you be complaining?
If this is correct, I would say that this is a great announcement.
for only the second time in internet history, a video recording of a secret jehovah's witness apostasy trial has been published online on the jwstruggle youtube channel.

How does a wbts JC supercede the law of the land ? In the U.S, a defendent is allowed an attorney. If he can't afford one,the state is obligated to provide him/her with one. Where does a religious body get off by hog tying a defendent in its kangaroo court, in not allowing him recourse to a lawyer or another person conversant with JW teachings or its history.
There is an expression: "judge, jury, and executioner."
What makes the JC even worse is that they are also the police (investigator).
Pretty messed up.
